"I was here the 2nd week in October so it was very dry. The river was mostly dry except for a small section a ways up from the parking lot were there must be a small spring. There were a few small pools there but the water disappeared soon downstream from there. At about the same place is where the nice hiking trails start, off to the West. The signs can be confusing so best to take a picture of the map at the trailhead if there aren't any paper maps available, like when I was there."
