"Of course, it's always beautiful. First, i was across the water enjoying the view. I went back later at night and was entertained by some locals"
"Awesome lookout spot , lots of surfers and usually a competition always going on . On the weekends they usually have a market and across the street they have a food spot and restroom . And right by the dog park."
"Went to watch the large Waves. They are amazing. The media announced there would be big waves so naturally everyone was at Lighthouse point. It was extremely crowded. I'm not a fan of crowds. Also there is very little parking. I parked in the neighborhood and walked out. It's nice at the point, it's great anytime of year. Not for me with huge crowds. Next time I go to see large Waves I will go to a beach less crowded"
"I wanted to see the monument to the Black 54th Coast Artillery Regiment that protected Montery Bay in WWII. In response to the Japanese Submarine attacks along to California coast after Pearl Harbor, they manned gun positions in Shell Beach, Avila, Morro Bay, Montery, and Santa Cruz from April 1942-June 1944. I love the extra detail on the hand rail. The design is from the unit crest."
"As you stand atop the towering lighthouse, the salty sea breeze whips around you, carrying with it the sweet tang of seaweed and brine. You take a deep breath, feeling your lungs fill with the crisp, refreshing air. Looking out towards the horizon, you see an endless expanse of deep blue water stretching out as far as the eye can see. The ocean sparkles and shimmers under the bright sun, its surface rippling gently in the breeze. As you gaze out over the water, you see a small pod of dolphins leaping and playing in the waves, their sleek bodies glinting in the sunlight. In the distance, a lone sailboat bobs up and down on the swells, its white sails billowing in the wind. To your left, a rocky coastline stretches out into the water, its craggy cliffs rising up from the waves. You can see the white foam of the waves crashing against the rocks below, sending up plumes of spray"
