"They did exactly what they said they'd do for a reasonable price. They charged $77 to clear the drain, which they did. Actually Jason was able to spend quite some time explaining the problem. He said it could be a "belly" which apparently is a pretty common problem in older houses, which actually means that the sewer pipe sags down near the center, allowing for lots of crud to collect in the middle... ... the funny thing is that after spending quite a long time explaining all this to me (twenty minutes or half an hour) after they cleaned the pipe, while they were talking, I had the tap on all that time. They left and got in their truck, and I went back and was shocked to find that the sink was over flowing all over the cabinets and flooring... so I ran out and caught them before they left. They came back and cleared it up a second time. So Jason recommended that I get the sewer checked by camera, which would cost another $250. They didn't have a camera that worked in my sewer, so they had to come back to do that, and that still didn't work, so I ended up getting the camera work done by a different plumber for the same price. I attached that video from the other plumber to show what it looked like after they cleaned it. The other plumber confirmed that it was a so-called "belly" that Jason called it, and said I will need to clean it out every once in a while, and that was probably the best way to deal with it. Think of it as maintenance, like an oil change for your car... All that said, they did end up cleaning it for the $77 they originally quoted. I also paid extra ($250) for the camera work by another plumber. I called many other places, and that was the lowest price i could find."
