"Penry park is known to be one of the first parks created in the charming downtown of Petaluma. Just right off of Kentucky Street, this park is named after a Petaluma citizen who served in war. This park is known for their lofty palm trees and its nice view overlooking Petaluma Boulevard. Although it doesn’t have a playground they have picnic tables and benches, walking paths, and drinking fountains. I love this park due to the beautiful and tall palm trees. I enjoy the view of Petaluma’s downtown. It’s great for a nice stroll or if you have a dog to walk with. There are benches to rest and read. There is a parking lot right next door as well as off street parking. If you also enjoy having a nice long walk all over downtown Petaluma you will eventually find your way here. There are stairs to get up here as well as a ramp for those wheel chaired folks. To the beautiful people of Sonoma county and visitors abroad, I would recommend coming to this park if you’re looking for an environment that combines city and nature! If you also always imagined California having palm trees this is what they would look like."
"Small, quiet park with nice views."
"This park sports some very lovely views of Petaluma. A memorial with cannons on top. Quite a few park benches to sit on along it's paved walking paths set amongst grass and a scattering of large palm trees. *Take note* that a fair portion of it is quite steep as it is built atop a hillside so those in wheelchairs who visit may find it a bit cumbersome to fully explore. Those with strollers, make sure your brakes are in good working order."
