"Mike the Poolman is the MAN!!!!!! I was having trouble with my filter pump losing it's prime. I couldn't find the air leak. Mike came out, took one look at my pool equipment and said he would figure out the problem. He did exactly that. He explained the way my pool was plumbed was not ideal. He recommended some simple changes as well rebuilding a valve that was leaking. I cant say enough good things about Mike, He is all about customer service. He is professional, personable, and very knowledgable. He took the time to answer my many questions and explain in detail what was wrong. I would not hesitate to call him again if i experience additional problems with my pool . I HIGHLY RECOMMEND MIKE THE POOLMAN."
"I had a poor experience with Mike The Poolman. They are not set up for automatic credit card payments. We were late mailing our check for last month due to international travel, but we mailed the check immediately upon return (and Mike was informed about our trip ahead of time). As soon as our check was cleared, I got an email from Mike saying he was canceling our service without giving any reason for the cancellation. Even when Mike visited to provide us with an estimate, he came across as borderline rude and arrogant, but I decided to give him the benefit of the doubt owing to the good reviews he has. I was wrong. I wouldn't recommend Mike the Poolman to anyone due to our poor experience. >> Response to Mike's comment: A reason for cancellation would be nice, no? Some free advice: consider getting a credit card autopay setup. It is easy and will allow you to focus more on servicing your clients rather than judging them. Clearly, you have a customer base today, and you don't need customers like me who pay late once or who don't meet your standards of an ideal customer, whatever they may be. I will, however, say that this attitude won't take you far, my friend. Not in this day and age. As they say, best wishes always."
"I had a fantastic experience with this pool company when my pool pump stopped working. Mike, the owner, was incredibly helpful and provided me with three great options to fix the issue. What impressed me the most was his honesty. He also pointed out that, based on my specific setup, I could handle the repair myself to save money. Thanks to his advice, I was able to resolve the problem on my own and save a significant amount of money. Mike's professionalism and transparency truly stood out, and I highly recommend this company for any pool-related needs!"
"It was not easy to find a pool contractor who was able and willing to swim to the bottom the deep end of my swimming pool to install a new drain cover. Mike is that guy. He skillfully and quickly did the underwater repair. I avoided the cost and waste of having to drain thousands of gallons of water and chemicals. I highly recommend him."
"BEWARE! NO CUSTOMER LOYALTY! SORRY CUSTOMER SERVICE AND ATTENTION TO DETAIL! They let your spa grow algae for two weeks and then tell you they don't have enough labor to clean the spa properly and then drop you as a customer. I paid one hundred thirty dollars per month with two price increases over the past 3 years. the one hundred thirty was per month for chemicals and brushing on my pool and spa through Mike the Poolman, but Mike got bitter with me when I complained twice in 1 week about him letting algae grow in my spa. I never had any issues with his services over the past 6 years, but he dropped me as a customer because I called him out on not being able to clean the hot tub properly for the first time in 6 years. He didn't like the callout on his poor services so he dropped me as a customer. Now I'm looking for a better pool service than Mike the Poolman provides. Thank you and God bless. - The Messiah"
