Crown Cove Aquatic Center is a premier water sports institution located at 5000 California 75 in Coronado, California. Situated on Silver Strand State Beach, between Coronado and Imperial Beach, CCAC offers a wide range of recreational activities including paddling, sailing, surfing, and safe boating education.

At CCAC, you can earn credit while learning new skills such as Stand-Up Paddleboarding (SUP), volleyball, sailing, and more, all for just $46 per unit for California residents. We provide all the necessary equipment, so all you need to bring is yourself.

For children between the ages of 7 and 16, we offer day camps during spring, summer, and fall breaks. Our classes cover a variety of water-based activities, and we also offer first-aid training for individuals and agencies.

"Haven't been here in person, but at least I have enjoyed one of their services which is getting the AHA Heartsaver course elsewhere yet still connected to this place. The course itself is definitely helpful, not only for one's employment but also for using it one day in case of an emergency, and you also learn a lot within all of the Heartsaver's course modules such as the First Aid module, especially coming from great and experienced instructors that have plenty of experience in both their main careers and teaching these courses itself which you can get helpful additional information that the basic AHA information gives to you. And what's best about this center is that anyone, even SWC students and alumni willing to take it, can take these courses as long as they complete that one form found in the Continuing Education department's website and bring it to class in person for all of these courses related to CPR. FYI, you also have to bring the course card fee the day you will come to class so you should always check the hitherto mentioned deparment's catalog to learn more about that."

"Great place for learning water sports and safety. Southwestern College also holds CPR classes here. PRO TIP: Unfortunately, Google Maps has bad directions on how to get here. You gain access to Crown Cove by parking at Silver Strand State Beach and walking through the pedestrian tunnels that get you to the bay side."

"I wish I could say I knew another community college that owned an aquatic center right on the beach and cove (at the same time!!!) This same aquatic center which would is able to offer classes like surfing -AND- sailing for a mere $20.00. I had nothing but an awesome experience here and the facilities are simply gorgeous. They have a lot of resources and they are lucky to have such an awesome location. Like I said, I wish I knew another college that did this because I surely would attend seeing as I'm not attending SWC anymore."
