"Definitely a 10/10 experience. My son has autism and is nonverbal, his instructor Brandon was very patient and was just the best with my him. Super grateful for the way my son was treated !"
"I cannot speak enough about Pasadena Waterworks [mom of three swimmers, active member since 2014] The facility is accommodating to all families and the instructors are amazing. All three of my children have learned how to freely swim on their own with different instructors based on their individual style and need. Finding the right swimming instructor for your child is a process and can be challenging/stressful. Marci (front) is the instructor whisper. Not only is she very knowledgeable with all the instructor’s teaching styles, she will make sure you get the right instructor at the time slot you need and will go out of her way to make things work for you. If you have any concerns, Jason (admin) has always been accommodating and really knows the flow of the place at all times. Follow-up here is 100%. Yes, there are turn overs of good instructors leaving and new instructors training. But something I can say that worked for me was that the facility provided consistency AND my children loves their experiences here. I would highly recommend this learning center to my family and friends."
"UPDATE 10/10/23: After our initial disappointing experience, I was surprised when the waterworks people contacted me the next day to let me know that they had received my feedback and had talked to the instructors. They said they would give more sensitivity training so that it doesn’t happen again. They offered the opportunity for them to make things right. They scheduled her comped private sessions with one of the seasoned instructors/managers Ally who took the extra time to get to know her personality before recommending other instructors. This manager has supervised all subsequent lessons with other instructors so far, including today. As I update this review, we are at her fourth lesson after the initial negative experience. I was compelled to update this immediately because as soon as she saw her new instructor again, she was all smiles and enthusiastically hopped into the pool. Her progress today was significant! Maybe all it took was for her to trust her instructor and for her instructor to instill confidence into her. What more could I ask for than a child who now looks forward to swimming lessons and is showing marked progress so quickly? I am beyond pleased with how this turned out. Very appreciative of the waterworks staff for being proactive in turning this situation around swiftly and efficiently! FIRST REVIEW FROM FIVE WEEKS AGO: This is just a review for today. My daughter hadn’t been in lessons since before pandemic. She had her first lesson today. Her instructor was training another new instructor. According to my child, during the lesson, the instructor told the new instructor that my child was not even close to where she was supposed to be. This may be true, but my daughter is really sensitive and took it to heart and was so upset and discouraged at hearing this that that she cried after the lesson and says she never wants to go back. So much for swimming lessons."
"I absolutely love Waterworks! We first started with the parent & me classes which is when the parent actually enters the pool with your toddler or younger. This is a great bonding experience for me and my son and it was a great intro for him to the pool. After we went to a number of these classes, we realized it was probably beneficial for him to move up and do some solo one-on-one training with an instructor. We chose. Giselle randomly but she turned out to be a perfect fit for my son. She is been patient and very understanding and gives him the space and time that he needs to feel confident and safe in the water. He has learned so much in the few months that he's been attending that I am amazed. He will be swimming on his own in no time."
