Denny Lesser Jewelry

"Denny Lesser is a great jeweler. He is HIGHLY knowledgeable and is a master at his craft. He is honest, respectful and runs an amazing shop. He sat down with me for an hour helping me decide and build a wedding & engagement ring set. Everything was great until I made an appointment to look at diamonds and prepare to make a purchase. The first appointment, the shop did not have the item ready on the prescribed date. I asked them to reschedule me and have the diamonds picked out for me to look at on another day. Luckily I happened to call them this time to confirm if they had it on the day of the appointment because again they did not have it. Then I asked them to have the diamonds ordered per the specs on the claim ticket that had all the notes. They said they lost the claim ticket so I would have to figure out what exactly I had picked out. Denny's writing wasn't clear on the copy of the claim ticket I had but I was able to find it at my house, email them a photocopy and give them notes to re-order the diamonds so I can see them. After two more phone calls following up with them they said they did not get my emails! After all these failures I am glad I did not go with their products and services. Why should I trust a business to provide me with a quality product at a respectable price that can't even keep up with basic appointments. Go elsewhere for your jewelry needs. If you value your time and don't want to keep getting blown off find someone who is able to run a small business."

"The watch does function after the repair but unfortunately the numbers fell off suddenly only after a few hours of wear, which is a new issue. I'm unaware if there was a heat gun involved as I wasn't given a breakdown of the service provided. Was given a single line item receipt for $202. Came into the Denny Lesser shop on 4/29 looking for a repair on my watch, when I dropped it, the self-winding weight snapped off. Told the damage was too great and would have to be sent out to a third party for repairs, I accepted. Called the shop two weeks after, Shauna (I believe) notified they receive items back from their 3rd part on Tuesdays and Thursdays but no info is available yet. Called next week on Thursday. Same response. Came in on 6/3, spoke with Denny. Called their 3rd party and was told it's taking longer than usual and to come next week. Got a call 6/5 saying it's ready for pick up. Pick it up and functions but the new weight scraps the bottom of the watch when worn. Ignoring the scrape, after a few hours of wear the numbers fall off. Update: They were kind enough to accept the watch back to have re-repaired, however, when received back after the 3rd attempt to re-repair was when the repair was done fully. Numbers no longer fell off and the self winding weight no longer made a noise (was just hoping to get the numbers glued back on well). I appreciate the assistance."

"I have been taking my watches to Denny Lesser's shop for many years I've always been satisfied with his work and the speed with which he accomplished it. This time I also had him repair a bracelet. He did a perfect job of it, no less than I expected. The repair is solid, and invisible. I highly recommend this shop. His prices are fair, his workmanship is impeccable, and there is a ton of beautiful jewelry available for purchase in every style and price range. Check it out, it won't disappoint!"

"My husband and I went to Denny Lesser for repairs on our jewelry. We noticed that our rings, bracelets and neck chains all came back lighter in weight content. Ring bands are suddenly thinner, bracelet's are missing a link here and there and a 22 " neck chain is now 21" This type of thing doesn't enter your mind when you're taking jewelry to someone who supposedly has a great reputation. I wish we would have weighed our jewelry before taking it into to him to prove our claim. My husband questioned him on this and he either had a weak explanation or said he would fix it and never did. When you take a bracelet in to have a clasp fixed and its returned to you too small to put on, its obvious links have been taken out. Has anyone experienced this on their jewelry? If you use this jeweler, have him weight your items before you leave them with him. We do not recommend this jeweler. Im adding to my original review, Denny has been in business 40 years. 40 yrs of filing off the inside of gold rings and taking a link here and there on repairs, Denny must have a nice retirement of customers gold by now. Weigh your jewelry if you leave anything with this jeweler."
