"Very nice, clean 50m outdoor pool for lap swimming. Friendly staff. Lanes range from slow to very fast (collegiate and faster) to kick-only. Lots of fitness and masters swimmers, triathletes, and runners recovering from injuries ☺️. Highly recommend buying passes online to speed things up."
"Fabulous. A lap pool during 12:00 to 2:00pm open to us public swimmers for a brilliant swim in this 50 metre outdoor pool. It is located walking distance from the Amtrack train depot, within the marina parking zone handy. Just here is a great restaurant district close to the Pool and a walk to the microbrew , tea & pastry funk zone, easy on 2 wheels from the pool stop to the bike path. A Bike ride to the University, SB City College, Library, Museum, Sailing center, SB yacht club, yoga classes and Coffee boutiques are all within reach from this safe, friendly atmosphere pool. Besides the beach volleyball in season @East Beach. Triathlons and Yacht races are in the tapestry of this athletic towns psyche for team up entertainment as well as hiking, golf, parasailing for the more adventurous. Having sailed our vintage 1958 monohul sailboat from SB harbour to New Zealand in 2011 to today 2023, swimming everywhere possible in the Pacific we have sailed to, I can safely say Los Banos is among the top 3 pools I've been fortunate to have swam in. As an adventure swimmer from Painted Cave...pushing out into everything from freezing 16 C pools to 4m surf, in Doldrums to Storm Weather, Island anchorages, Atoll, Rivers, Lakes, Bays, Passes, observing unique marine ecology interdependency systems for curiosity education savvy, one thing is surely true for me, swimming is an art form passion. My other favorites are: Rotorua New Zealand, Sydney Australia, Melbourne City pools, are also super popular. Get out there good people! Enjoy!"
"My favorite pool to swim in! I love the 50-meter (long course), outdoor circle-swim pool. There are plenty of swim/level lanes to choose from and a kick-only lane. It’s next to the ocean, with birds flying by and palm trees to see. While swimming. The pool is heated and also lit for the evening swims. There is plenty of street parking and the paid parking lot is available. Buy a membership online to save time at the pool. Locals do get a discount (with proof)."
"Nice but it is crazy expensive. $71 a month to swim or $10 per session. Who can afford this and a gym membership? I thought public pools were meant to be affordable for people to go to."
"Not easy to find parking but other than that a first class pool. A nice long course pool for swim meets. The bathrooms were clean and easy to find. The grounds were well cared for. The staff was friendly."
