"Generation Contracting was on our insurance company's preferred list, but I am going to petition Kemper to take them off. The contract stated they work would begin the week of Nov. 21st. They told us they would start on the 20th, but called and said they would start on the 29th. On the 29th, they called and said their guys were sick. When they finally started working, it was a constant battle calling them to get them to show up. But they kept promising they would still be done by Dec. 20th. We had water damage to three bathrooms. Two of the bathrooms just needed drywall repairs and painting. We made the decision to pay out of pocket to redo the third. Adolfo called to tell us the new tub was going to be delayed by 3 weeks, and no work could be done until the tub came in. We had them cancel their order, ordered the tub ourselves through Home Depot and it showed up in 3 days. They had a plumber come install the tub but left the box and garage in our driveway. Then Adolfo let us know that it would be another 4 days before anymore work could be done. I called our insurance agent and the owner Steve. Just to let you know. Do not expect any calls back from Steve. First time I called he receptionist said he was on a call and would call me right back. About 3 hours later, I called him again. We spoke briefly and he said he would call me back in a few minutes. He never called me. At least our insurance agent got on them and they worked on the other two bathrooms while we waited for the tile guy to come and finish the tub work. While they promised over and over the bathroom remodel would be done by the 20th, they fell 2 days short and then only because we were constantly calling and texting them. Although, I could argue that they never finished since I will need to finish painting one bathroom (see the pictures below), repair the towel rack, (they put the screws for the towel rack directly into the drywall without using drywall anchors) dispose of the toilet they left on the side of the house, mount the medicine cabinet, and install a transition between the bathroom tile and the hallway. And you can see by the pictures, they stained the hallway carpet outside of the bathroom. They did complete the job technically early because the contract said Dec. 26th (Read your contract carefully. It doesn't matter what they say, only what is in writing). But as you can see by the pictures, they do shoddy work to get done as quickly as possible. I was not even going to post a review, but this morning, I found the toilet bowl that they replaced hidden on the side of my house. It had been sitting on our front porch, and we assumed that they were going to take it away, but it looks like they just moved it out of view. With a regular contactor, you would expect the project manager to stop by on a regular basis to check on the work. That did not happen. If you see Adolfo at all, it will only be to pick up a check."
"Not sure where to start. If you decide you are going with this company be ready to manage the entire project. I was lied to, had people show up to my house with no notice, had multiple no shows when they were supposed to be there, barely get answers from my project manager. Had to escalate the issue and still have not heard from a manager or any kind of leadership. This place does not care about you and they will screw you on the deal if they can get away with it. Make sure you track each Dollar and know exactly what’s what. Thankfully I did. Get another company to fix your house trust me."
"We recently had our bathroom redone due to a leak that our insurance covered. I will first say the work done looks amazing. The individual who came to install the tile, add on wall, and paint did a wonderful job making it look absolutely amazing. However, how this contracting company handled the ordeal through covid is less than optimal. I do not fault the company for the bathtub being on back order for 2 months, however the entire project took over 4 months to complete. The scheduling aspect was horrendous. On multiple occasions, I was told one day only to be rescheduled over and over. Then when the plumber actually showed, I wasn't informed of the appointment until an hour before the guy got there.. of course we weren't home because we have lives and couldn't plan for it. Then before the project even happened, I purchased the plumbing fixture replacements and had given them to the plumber so that he knew what I was working with before he even reconfigured the plumbing to make the new tub work. The. After many weeks, the tub is finally in and tile is all done and all that is left is the installation of the fixstures. Then the plumber tells me it doesn't work because the brand is wrong, which he could have told me a couple months earlier. So I send it back and order the correct type and once it got here, the contracting company dropped the ball 3 times on communicating with me that they were having trouble contacting the plumber. I had to couple multiple times to finally get the company to reach the plumber and schedule the last part of the job. Overall, I'm happy with the final product, but unhappy with the way they conduct disorderly business. I've worked with contractors before and these people have no idea how to work a schedule or streamline communication. The company I work for would be sending gift baskets and letters of apology and face industrial fines and punishment due to negligence for the experience I faced. Granted I'm in a lot more regulated line of work, but still the customer service aspect remains the same in terms of importance and Generation Contracting suffers from making this a priority in their business model. All 3 stars they get from me is about their network of skilled labor and completing the job. They lose 2 stars from poor customer service management and failing to communicate appropriately and set expectations. The plumber they hired did not impact my rating, I just wanted to highlight there is fault in their network of labor for customer service, but I will admit the skill is of good quality"

Their quality of work is excellent, really top-notch customer service and follow-up, very fast and great attention detail. They have also served as a great resource and educator to me when needed. I can't say enough good things and of course, I highly recommend them."
