"Great place for people to learn to swim. They have coaches with and without an active sporting background (so you can choose whatever suits you). For those complaining about the cancellation policy just one thing - you agreed to their rules in the enrollment process)"
"Each session comprises 25 minutes of instruction plus 5 minutes of play time. In group lessons consisting of three students, each student receives approximately 8 minutes of individual attention from the coach. This duration is insufficient for making notable progress over a few weeks. However, the coaches are quite friendly and approachable."
"Classy is not the first word that comes to mind about this team. Our team visited from out of town to swim against SCSC in a dual meet. Sadly, my family did not leave with the best impressions of this host team as a few of their members were very rowdy and discourteous. Several of their swimmers can be heard booing our team during our team cheer. My swimmer had draped her parka on a railing behind the timers. As she was exiting the pool following her event, she saw a SCSC swimmer slyly and intentionally knock her parka off the rail and onto the wet ground. And as the meet was wrapping up with the distance events at the end of the day, several members of the host team were horsing around in the warm down lanes, shouting waving around their lap counters. It was a general free for all."
"Santa Clara Swim Club has some great coaches, and Victory is one of them. Both my girls trained and thrived under him (one is still training). Coach Victory is one of the few coaches who will remember your kid by their name. He is completely dedicated, and will watch your kid in the water and work with them to correct their technique. At swim meets, he is awesome and always encourages the kids before and after their events. Without doubt, he is one of the coaches who I know my kid will do well training with."
"I started as 6 years old at this place, and after a few years I'm now an excellent swimmer. I recommend this place greatly. The pool is always heated, and the coaches give really helpful tips on how to improve this stroke or that stroke. When you get to Supernovas, though, it gets more review and laps than actual learning how to swim. It's still an amazing place, and I would definitely recommend it."
