"Terrible experience. Called today to move 1-night reservation 2 weeks later because my daughter is sick today and unable to travel. I only made the reservation 2 days ago. The front desk attendant was completely apathetic. I offered to double the length of my stay. The GM denied my request. Paying $700+ for a room I can’t use. No compassion. Don’t reserve here unless you are ABSOLUTELY SURE you won’t need any special help because it won’t be allowed. I’ll be at one of the other local properties from now on."
"Did not provide us the room type we booked. Although the hotel staff confirmed in writing that our reservation is valid with the specific room type in their system at the time of check-in, they cannot give us the room type we booked because those rooms were fully booked. We booked directly through hyatt website."
"The service is the worst I have ever received. 1. We asked for late checkout and they said we should call on the checkout day to see availabilities. Normally Hyatt hotels give you late checkout upon arrival. So we called at the checkout day and the room service said we can checkout at 11 (instead of 10). But at 10:20 they called us and asked why we haven’t checked out yet. They claimed they didn’t know we were given late checkout, and asked us to leave. So we had to rush to the hotel from the ski resort. 2. A week later when I checked the bill they took all my deposit. The reason they gave was they found spot in the room. However, they could not send any pictures or proofs. Is this hotel really under Hyatt? Cannot believe this is the service from Hyatt."
"Service here is a joke. More often than not, employees are non english speakers making something as simple as ordering a breakfast sandwhich nearly impossible. If you are successful in ordering food at any of the "restaurants" in the village, be prepared to pay double, sometimes triple what you'd pay anywhere else. For the price of food, you'd think it would taste decent, but most everything is subpar. These places are also all order at a counter and sit wherever, with no waitor service, so again the expense makes no sense when you aren't paying for a service. Now for the Hyatt Vacation club... I have never had a more disrespectful sales experience. You're forced to sit through a 90 min timeshare presentation and then when you say no thank you, the manager comes and puts you down, makes you feel bad about not wanting to spend your money, belittles you, and then throws you out. This left a very sour taste in my mouth and makes me want to avoid staying at any Hyatt in the futre. The skiing itself, was enjoyable but sadly, the experience of the "Resort" was poor and I would not reccomend it again."
"First time in many years Be Lake Tahoe. I love to stay in Hyatt. The rooms were great and clean. Problem was lobby did not have impression normal Hyatt hotel then no one come service our room ask for anything. No house keeping. No automatic check out, no receive final bill by email. No idea of our bill. Looking for nice clean hotel with good location then this is right hotel but if looking for any room or house keeping service forget it. We had room in first floor with no view. Also in end seems like wanted you out. No easy to explain. Hyatt need pay attention to this hotel."
