Here are some: Don't sell gold with little diamonds at gold shops since it's worth nothing. Pearls are pretty much worthless when you try to sell it. Hold unto baby's 24k first rings, bracelets, they are like cash (in times of need). I am glad I saved the earring back pieces (14K), gold pins and thin hoops. I felt bad selling necklaces with sapphire, rubies and tiny diamonds. They were worth a lot but you get so little when you sell it. He is honest, ethical. Wrote down how much each piece of jewelry was. My advice to the gold sellers: Always check at least three stores before selling your jewelry."
