"My husband and I had a wonderful experience at Lily! The owner was so friendly and made us feel like locals. We were in town to get married and we all had so much fun that they even gave us a little wedding gift when we left--so truly above and beyond. The shop is lovely and filled with great treasures. It's the kind of store you want to visit to gather a few special gifts to tuck away for giving later in the year (I hope my husband reads this!) We left feeling like friends and we'd drop in again in a heartbeat. What a great ambassador Lily is for Montecito!"

"I will never shop at this store again. For years, when we traveled to Santa Barbara, we always shopped at this store, and over the years have spent well over $3000. About a year ago, my wife and I were shopping there and bought a turquoise bracelet. About a month after we returned, a store employee called me and told me she had a bracelet I should buy for my wife. I told her I wouldn't be able to give it to her until her birthday, four months in the future. She did not disclose any return policy. I bought the bracelet and had it shipped to me. Meanwhile, my wife wore the turquoise bracelet and found that it cut her wrist every time she wore it. When my wife's birthday arrived, she opened the second bracelet, but decided she didn't like it. So, I sent both bracelets back to Lily and asked them to either fix the turquoise bracelet and take a return of the second bracelet, or take a return of both. The owner told me they had a 7 day return policy and then, only for store credit. WHAT? I was never aware of this. When they called me to sell me the second bracelet, no one disclosed this policy and it was not posted in the store. She responded it was stated in small print on the receipt. Of course, since the second bracelet was a gift, I never looked at the receipt when I received it. Over another six months, I had several discussions with the owner, but she would not accept a return. She finally offered to take the items on consignment and pay me 1/3 of what I originally paid her if they ever sold! So, let me get this straight...she already profited from selling me these two bracelets once and now wanted to sell them again and make a profit a second time. All she had to do was to return the turquoise bracelet to the manufacturer as being defective and would have been paid in full. It took us 6 months to get the two bracelets back from Lily, and we can't use either now. We were excellent customers of this store, but would never do business with them again and would urge anyone else not to either. Truly the worst customer service ever!! Stay away!"
