Merry Maids of Riverside

"After six years of using Merry Maids every two weeks, I was always asked to leave a positive review but I never did because I didn’t feel that I could be honest… so here’s the honest review. Merry Maids used to provide a dedicated cleaner that did a decent job, but unfortunately she resigned a couple of years ago for better employment elsewhere. Since then, they have sent a ton of different ladies to our house and gave them access to our home, which always made us uncomfortable letting that many different people have access to our home. The service went from decent to very poor quality, they always rush through our home leaving areas uncleaned and causing a ton of damage including ripping all of the door stops out of the baseboards by hitting them with the vacuum and leaving them laying there, breaking off corners of kitchen cabinetry with the vacuum and mop, damaging rugs, damaging floors, etc. I have been trying to work with the owner/manager to resolve these issues but the damage has continued on every service with no improvements. Last time he apologized saying he has been busy dealing with immigration issues and hasn’t been able to deal with the company. I sent pictures of additional damage from last service a week and a half ago and just now received a response two days before our next service notifying me that he is out of cleaning ladies and won’t be able to service our property any longer. Poor service and a poorly ran business."

"I utilize the Riverside office for my rental cleaning. However, upon inspection, the house was not cleaned as expected. For example, the doors were dirty, the kitchen cabinets had not been vacuumed out, bathroom cabinets had not been wiped down. In addition, I had paid extra money to have the inside of the refrigerator cleaned. However, it was completely filthy. I contacted the office and sent them pictures of the issues, and I was told I would get a complete refund. However, the office manager, then went to the house to inspect it and went back on his word, and refused to refund me my full payment. he said that he could not give me all my money back because then he couldn’t pay his employee. That’s concerning and it’s self because payment of his employees should not be based on the service alone. He then went on to call me un-American because I wanted my money back and that because of me, the girl would not be getting paid. I contacted the corporate office and have been exchanging emails however I still am unsure if I will be getting my refund. I strongly recommend to go elsewhere for cleaning service. The office manager was very rude and unprofessional. I paid $390 for a unsatisfactory job. He only gave me back 200. I had to prorate my tenant their rent, and I had to modify the lease agreement because they could not move in on time."

"I love Merry Maids! I have had Merry Maids for over 15 years. They make my life complete. I consider Merry Maids part of my team and my family. Together, we keep my beautiful home spotless! I recommend them to all of my friends and neighbors. They are trustworthy and fun and friendly and oh so helpful. Normally, I am not at the house when they arrive...... but I know that every Wednesday I come home to a absolutely clean house. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!"

"We used Merry Maids recently and they did a wonderful job. They sent a two person team that arrived on time that worked efficiently and completed all items listed on the agreement they provided. Easy to setup cleaning and well worth the cost for a fall cleaning!"

"I had a one time deep cleaning done a few weeks ago. At first was a little taken back at the price but I understand that doing business isn't cheap. To be honest my plan was to pick it apart until I was happy with everything but that wasn't needed. They did a great job. I really can't afford regular service but calling them every couple of months will definitely help me out."
