"Insisted on being paid ahead of doing any work, wanted way more money than had been quoted I made a mistake and left out the money my daughter had left me, so Maria just pocketed it, without me giving it to her. Threatened to leave after 15 min when I told her I expected windowsills to be dusted, not just blinds. She worked for 1 Hour 15 min and pocketed $160 for a 1 Bedroom home. Worst experience ever, rude and abusive to boot!"

"OMG my seven-year-old granddaughter could do a better job! I paid on $180 for two people to spend two hours in my home only to come home and find my kitchen floor had not been mopped at all, my bathroom faucet still had toothpaste splatter all over it, my shower had not been cleaned, there was still visible dust on my furniture & ashes from my incense burning were still all over my fireplace never vacuumed around my carpet cat scratcher where there were all kinds of carpet remnant shred off from my cat were still all over the rug never even vacuumed! Hi honestly don’t know how these people can stay in business! I was totally ripped off and would never ever hire them again!"

"I have to say I'm very disappointed in Maria's house cleaning service. My husband is retiring from the Air Force this week, and we're having a party at our house. For many reasons I decided to have the house cleaned instead of doing it myself. I googled and found Maria's (it had only 5-star reviews). We have a 4-bedroom, 3 bath house, however, I told them to not go into 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom...so all they had to clean is 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. My first problem is the $250 price tag, but I REALLY wanted to have the house in tip-top condition for our 60 guests, and if I'm paying to have the house cleaned by professionals, I expect that they will do a more thorough job than if I did it myself. So I say ok to the $250 price. Problem two...when Maria looks over the house, she's says it's dirty...hahaha! Well do you think I'm going to pay $250 to clean a clean house? One of the bedrooms is an office (no bed), and there are a bunch of action figures. She won't dust the action figures because it will take too long. So I said I would dust them. So she came in and dusted around the desk and vacuumed, Somehow she missed the very dusty printer on the desk. I dusted the table, bookcase, and shelves that the action figures we're on, plus the action figures themselves. She also says that for the low price of $250, that she won't do the refrigerator, baseboards, or stove. That would cost at least $400!! I almost fainted! The third problem I have is that Maria, a born-again Christian of 14 years, tried to convert me (I'm not very religious) as **I** am cleaning the kitchen sink and island...not while she is also cleaning, mind you...she stopped her work to come convert me while I was simultaneously cleaning my kitchen and paying her $250 to clean my house!! When I said I wasn't interested, she persisted. The fourth problem I have is that the work was rushed and not done well...at all. She had a couple of guys come help her, and everywhere all three cleaned, I had to have them revacuum and dust. They were ready to leave and they had completely forgotten to clean an entire bedroom! The square coffee table is on wheels, and when I moved it to check under it, there was a bunch of dog fur and oak leaves...Maria tells me it's against company policy to move any furniture out of the way to vacuum or dust. WHAT!?!!! So you can see where they vacuumed up to a chair or the entertainment center and the one inch of dust around them where the vacuum doesn't reach. Even if I'm not moving furniture out of the way, I still take the nozzle part of it and get right up to the piece of furniture. I had to point out that the kitchen floor was still dirty, there were dead bugs on window sills, dog fur in corners, she didn't move anything out of the way to dust, just dusted around things (e.g., in front of a picture frame but not behind it...canisters in the kitchen and in front of them, but not moving them and cleaning the counter that they're on. The list goes on. And there was always an excuse... Bottom line, I would not recommend Maria's cleaning service."
