We purchased a large cushion cut diamond. I did not ask for a second appraisal as I trusted Lisa. We paid $62,000 for it. I did not even ask for paperwork until I needed it for insurance purposes. As it turns out the certification was from a "foreign" jewelry appraiser, Not the standard GIA. It was graded 3 grades higher than actually it is according to GIA and it is a much lesser quality diamond than Lisa stated and appraised it for. ( Lisa is a licensed gemologist) Basically, the value of the ring is 1/4 of what it was originally appraised for. When I tried to reach Lisa about this she did not return my calls. Go somewhere else.
