"No bride should leave an alterations appointment nearly in tears. When I went to pick up my dress after having alterations where they inserted breast pads. I was assured it was no big deal and super easy to add in, when I got home and tried it on the entire neck line of my dress was different from pulling on the fabric because of the pads. I took it back in after calling and spoke with Olga the seamstress who was extremely rude to me. She practically ripped the pads out of the dress. When I asked her to remove 2 small buttons that were supposed to be removed initially she tried to charge me $20 even though I had already paid $200. When I said I wasn't going to pay that because it was their mistake in the first place she shoved the dress back into my hands and said "I don't have time for this" There was a very sweet stylist there that day who talked to me and was able to convince Olga to remove the buttons. She continued to be extremely rude the entire interaction. I also paid for the pads and was refused a refund when they were removed. I was excited about getting alterations done here because of the great reviews but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Unless maybe you buy your dress at their store. Maybe they would treat you better."

"I brought my wedding dress to Irina at And Something Blue for some alterations, and I was blown away by the service I received. She and Helen both dove into helping me as if I was a dear friend whose wedding they would stop at nothing to make ideal, and with whom they would be nothing but 100% honest. At one point, I asked if Irina thought a pair of earrings she was selling would look good with my dress, and she told me that no, they were the wrong shape. She pointed me to a different pair that was better suited, but then said "if I were you, I'd just stick to the ones you have — they look great and then you don't have to spend more money." Not only was she right (they were great!), but it was that kind of honesty that made me feel like I was in good hands. In short, it was the best experience I could have asked for: they were efficient, kind, and gracious, and their alterations were perfect. Thank you both for helping make my dress — and my wedding — the best it could be!"

"I brought three dresses to Irina for alterations (2 were vintage). She was able to complete the alterations I needed in time for my wedding. I love how all three turned out. Communication was great- I had a total of 3 appointments and got to make adjustments along the way. She really pulled through for me especially since one of the dresses was badly stained and needed to be completely re-worked - Irina was able to fabric- match my dress and the result is perfect! I highly recommend ASB for wedding dress alterations."
