"Seemed quite friendly with everyone else. maybe she was having a bad day, or i caused offense in some what I’m not aware of, possibly by existing, but I was pointedly, ignored for about half an hour while other customers were in the shop. When everyone else left, there was no attempt at conversation I was simply glared at. Finally when I chose an Item I was told that it wasn’t for sale at which point I left. I’m assuming this had to do with the way I look, as I’m quite heavily tattooed, not really the Sonoma ideal."

Maybe she was having one of those days, but unfortunately the owner was suspicious of our friendly attempts at conversation and made an outright accusation that we were on some kind of reconnaissance mission to steal ideas. A simple Pinterest search yields more inspiration, dear friends. Nothing super original in the tiny shop; simple to gaudy mediocrity- def not why we made the trip. And anyhow, dismissing potential champions of small biz craftsmanship (I left wishing to see the small work gloves my nephew could treasure) seems a transparently insecure betrayal of one's biases. Stick to the unfortunate Sonoma stereotypes if you hope to be shown respect here. Phony. Rude."
