"I have nine homeowners policies with them and replaced an entire roof on one in January. I emailed them the receipt, the roofer's information and pictures to get a discount on the policy I'd already paid in full. Seven weeks later, several phone calls, and multiple emails later (all initiated by me) they are refusing to assist. I will be taking my business elsewhere. I pay my policies on time and in full and have never made a claim and it appears they don't value my business."
"Customers Beware!!! After 28 years of customer loyalty and filed no claims, drive less than 6000 miles per year, Geico disregarded my loyalty and raised my insurance premium from $600 to $800 and finally $1200 for 6 months!!! In addition I had multiple home policies with GEICO as well. I conducted my market research and found another insurance company that reduced my overall insurance premiums by $1300/yr. This price does not have a one time discount! It does include discounts for good driving record, good credit, and multiple policies. The insurance coverage is equivalent and/or better than what Geico provided. I’m really disappointed in GEICO and how it treats its most loyal customers. In addition, GEICO does outsource its homeowners policies and it took a significant amount of time to set up and cancel the policies. I’m very disappointed in Geico and its corporate leadership decisions!"
"As a loyal GEICO customer for over a quarter of a century, my recent experience has unfortunately compelled me to reconsider my choice of auto insurance. During these 25 years, my record has been spotless, with no accidents, violations, or claims. However, the situation took a turn when I purchased a new vehicle and requested an updated quote. To my astonishment, the new rate offered by GEICO was more than double my previous one. Seeking clarification, I reached out through their online chat, only to encounter an employee whose demeanor was far from helpful and bordered on rudeness. Hoping for a different outcome, I then called their office directly, but the explanation provided was unsatisfactory. They attributed the steep increase to my living area, a reason that seemed implausible, considering that my neighbors, owning similar vehicles and with comparable coverage, were paying significantly less. This inconsistency in pricing, coupled with the less-than-pleasant customer service, led me to switch to another insurance company. I believe it's important for other drivers to be aware of such experiences. It's disheartening to realize that even long-standing loyalty and a clean driving history do not safeguard you from unexpected and unexplained rate hikes. My advice to fellow consumers is to stay vigilant and compare options, as loyalty doesn't always guarantee fair treatment."
"I just spent two hours trying to get a policy reinstated for my car. After multiple transfers and calls dropped. I got married, I changed my name at my bank and without my knowledge my account number was changed. This has canceled multiple auto pays including my Geico car insurance. I called 48 hours after realizing my policy is canceled and you guys are demanding $1000 prepaid upfront to reinstate my insurance, are you kidding me? I’ve been on auto pay since I’ve been with you guys, I never missed a payment, no accidents, no tickets and you’re gonna punish me like that? Not to mention for some mysterious reason the policy price was going to go up! How do you justify this? I was told that there is an AI program running your underwriting department, and that there was nothing the agent could do to help me! That’s great, needless to say I’ll be going somewhere else!!"
"Watch out for GEICO... I think they are loosing money and taking it out on customers. I don't need there help anymore but still want to explain my situation. They left me stranded in the desert with my dog. Thankfully a boarder patrol helped us with food and water. But still had a battle with the heat. My dog is 12 years old and it is torture to watch him suffer. Claim made on Oct 3rd and still no contact from GEICO. If they are trying then they need help with the system. Thank you for reading.
