"I am an elderly female with cancer. After extensive surgery to remove the cancer, followed by 5 months of chemotherapy, and 8 months of bed rest, I developed an excruciating shoulder pain. I could not sleep at night because the pain was radiating through my hands and neck. After a lot of research for the right doctor, I made an appointment and visited Dr. Stephen Chen, a sports medicine physician in Walnut Creek, California. He identified that I had developed a frozen shoulder in addition to my old rotator cuff. Dr. Chen recommended a cortisone injection as well as physical therapy. I am grateful to have found Dr. Chen! He is very kind, compassionate, professional, personable, and knowledgeable. Most importantly, he takes the time to listen to me attentively, which is rare to find in a doctor these days. The pain in my shoulder has subsided, and I have gotten my life back thanks to Dr. Chen and all his office staff and medical assistants who are as caring, kind, and accommodating. Every morning I wake up, I count my blessings for finding such amazing and caring team!"
