"I originally came here after a switch in insurance and needed a doctor to take over prescribing my medications that I've been on for 10+ years. What a nightmare experience. They had two weeks to contact my previous prescriber after my initial appointment and failed to do so. When I questioned why, the PA just fumbled through excuses and tried to display no wrongdoing and establish some form of medical authority. Amusing. What's worse is that they did not notify me before the appt which was now pointless. I took time off work and they didn't seem to care about my inconvenience at all. They had two weeks to obtain this information and all necessary information was provided for them. After 3 appointments and multiple tests, I was still no closer to my original request of getting my routine medications filled. I felt like their only goal was to run everything and anything they can bill my insurance for without really listening to me. They ran an EKG on me for god's sake and I'm young and healthy with no history of cardiac problems. I told them it wasn't necessary but they just brushed my opinions aside and began placing the electrodes. They wanted me to reschedule again but by this time I was aware of the pattern so no thanks. I also never saw a doctor once. Only PAs."
"I got to meet Dr. K, one of the two new doctors for the office. He seemed nice. He reviewed my lab results and said everything looked fine. He seemed skeptical about the possible BPH Aquablation surgery I am considering. He mentioned that it might not help relieve my BPH symptoms and suggested losing weight to reduce BPH symptoms. I was surprised by his skepticism about BPH surgery. I was disappointed to learn that the lab had not reported my A1C results or PSA results. My new urologist has already directed me to Quest for a PSA test."
"Dr Prabaker was very concerned about my high blood pressure. He sumarized that it must be due to sleep apmea even when I wear a mouth guard to resolve the issue and will recommend a sleep specialist. To help him with some data I have made a b/p log that shows he time and date of my blood pressure and pulse. I will submit this data to my next appointment on Wednesday 4/26. I started the B/P log on 4/19 and will end it on 4/26. John Jenkins"
"Dr Prabaker is the first doctor to ever make me feel like they cared about my health and well-being. He listens and takes a proactive approach. He also has a very calming way about him, which helps put me at ease. He takes the time to explain why tests are being run, explain the results and answer all my questions."
"This will probably get another star as time goes on, as this was my initial appointment. At first impression, there was lots of activity, but things seemed to flow very well. There were tvs' to watch in the waiting area, and the chairs were comfortable. Once at the sign-in desk, the greeters were friendly and efficient. It seemed as though they truly enjoyed being there, and the interaction between them created a fun, efficient and pleasant atmosphere. So far so good! As is quite usual for a late afternoon appointment, schedules run late (about 15 minutes). I filled out some paperwork and was then led to an "intermediate" room where I answered some billing and history questions for about 10 minutes. I was then led to the "last" room where the doctor would eventually see me. The assistants were very nice and congenial as well. A few more questions, and then the doctor came in and explained his philosophy and goals to me. It was easy to tell that he was very "sharp", and genuinely cared about his patients. We chatted for several minutes, and the PA (Physicians assistant) ordered my medications to my source Pharmacy. All in all, an easy and pleasant experience that set me at ease for future visits. I left feeling that I had made a great choice in Doctors, and feel comfortable in the quality of care. I'm not sure if it gets any better than that!"
