"My experience with the NP was not a good one, uncaring and a typical know it all, acting as if she is the real Dr there. She tried to minimize my concerns and even threw in unnecessary sarcasm. Based on my experiences with both their old and new NP, I get the impression they try to avoid writing referrals to see a specialist, even though it might be obviously necessary and/or at the patient's request, I just don't understand why some medical professionals do this, it's not like it's costing them any money, this is why we patients pay for insurance and have copays. I give them 2 stars because their receptionist and medical assistant were nice, but I would definitely be looking for another facility."
"Great service. The staff is very nice and professional. Dr. Benin is amazing, he answers all of my questions and listens to my concerns. I'm glad I made the switch to Lasalle. Overall, I recommend this practice."
"Melinda L. Funk "I enjoy helping others and to be part of the LaSalle team. My practice is based on caring for patients as a whole... I have more than 20 years experience working as a nurse practitioner with all age groups and in many different settings. My personal qualities of caring for others include approachable, compassionate and trusting." You don't enjoy a thing about the LaSalle team or its patients. It would only seem to observers that your 20 years of experience are in clearly hating your job and taking it out on your patients. You describe your own personal qualities in a way that do not present a whole and true description of yourself, like you're building a resumé to get hired and not a rapport with your patients to make them feel comfortable with your service. You have no compassion for your job or your patients, you're not approachable at all, and your clerical work has resulted in misinformation being spread through medical records. How are you going to call a patient fat when you don't know the first thing about them? If you're really passionate about patient care, then maybe you should actually care for the patients. Get your head out the gutter and stop making LaSalle appointments a miserable experience for my wife."
"TL;DR: Throughout consistent appointments and interactions with the staff, despite how busy they often are, the providers here put out a very high level of effort and care. In-person appointments will be better than telehealth, but the team here does their jobs efficiently. Full Review: The nursing staff puts care and effort into their jobs. From my appointments with Nurse Practitioner Norton-Rosales, I felt that she was listening to and cared about what I was saying. Dr. Benin goes above and beyond in establishing a good connection with his patients, making sure they are heard, and puts a lot of effort into the care he gives. You can tell that the staff is very busy, and that they see a ton of patients daily, so it's important to remind staff of the reason for your appointment. Ideally, it keeps things in order when you tell the check-in staff, the nurse taking your vitals, and the practitioner when they are helping you. Despite the level of care, I will say that I have had multiple appointments canceled and dropped by staff and doctors with little to no notice. They do try to work with you to rebook and reschedule, but it is still frustrating to be rescheduled multiple times because of issues that arise on their end. I have experienced this issue the most with telehealth/ over the phone appointments, as it seems like they are not prepared technologically to support patients in this medium. Phone calls drop without anyone returning your call, you can be forgotten about on hold for extended periods of time, and there's little to no communication regarding delays for your appointment. You don't have to deal with these issues when you visit the office in person, but it's frustrating to not have the choice actually available. When you do get seen by staff here, you can expect a very simple, clean, and easy to navigate office. Talking to the staff here, you can expect to actually be heard and spoken with as an actual person with actual needs. Everything from the yearly physical, to shots, and out of office referrals are handled quickly and efficiently by staff. I have not needed to play phone-tag with staff to get them to send something to insurance or other providers. It's refreshing to feel that you're not having to remind someone to do the work when it comes to something as important as your health. They can definitely improve in a handful of ways, especially through establishing reliability and communication in telehealth appointments. Regardless, the effort and care shown by staff are noteworthy in my opinion."
"This place is absolutely horrible. It's like nobody works at the front or something. I've called all numbers listed for this location and have tried all of the several options they have to try to get someone on the line and no one ever picks up and all I want is for some additional blood work to be done. I thought the medical industry is there to provide care and service for people. It's literal focus is on people and you guys can't be there for people in the most simple way. How does anyone get anything done when they can't have a simple conversation about their needs. I swear I spent more than all day trying to get someone to answer the phone and I will now be changing my doctors office. This place is trash."
