"Stay awaaay!!! Terrible schedule and they’re so confused. I waited for more than 3 HOURS in the waiting room to call me for my small procedure which takes about 15 min total, again 15 mins TOTAL! My friend did the local injection in another center and it took him only 15 mins in and out. I had to take the day off from work for their funny schedule!"

"Horrible experience and I’m so glad I decided not to go any further. First, the front desk attendant give you the paper work to fill out, very normal so far, but ask to sign and confirm you have received patient directives, policies, etc. when they actually never presented you with any of those. If you need a patient to sign an acknowledgment of receiving such documents, the present them with the documents! Then as I am slow to move because I’m in so much pain, she asked to sit, I’m putting my wallet inside my purse and she immediately asked me to sit again. Patience with people that are moving slow because they are in pain! That’s why they are there in the first place! When I finally get inside, this very unpleasant nurse gives a gown to change. I change. Then she says I have to wear the facility socks. I never wear socks. I asked if okay if I just don’t wear them. With an angry voice she said “you have to wear your shoes then “, which I am fine with it. As I approach the bed, she gives me a consent to sign, I sign it. Then she angrily says “take undergarments off and get on that bed” but she changes her mind and now needs me to wear facility underwear. At this point I look at the bed sheet and it grossed me out, dirty. Then now I’m done. I could not stayed. I’ve been to facilities before. Many of of them. This is the first time I see and experience something so deplorable. Medical staff, at any capacity, needs to have one thing in common when dealing with patients: compassion. If they don’t understand or possess this simple trait they are in the wrong profession. Rude people don’t belong in the medical field. Your manners when dealing with someone vulnerable in need of help will help with healing. I’ve had wonderful nurses and doctors who can teach manners to others. This nurse and front desk attendant know nothing about being a first class nurse, in fact their class couldn’t be lower. Here’s an example of approach in this situation: “ if you feel uncomfortable with socks, remember not to get out of bed without your shoes, we don’t want you to fall”, “I understand you must be in a lot of pain right now, let’s get you settled quickly so we can start your treatment/procedure” - give your patient comfort, assurance, security!! Not harsh words, rudeness! The consequences of that behavior will be your business slowing down, no referrals. Because in the end, you do have competitors, and some, most fortunately, offer clean hospital bed sheets, nurses and medical staff with excellent bed manners, so then you loose of course."

"The nurses are very professional and comforting. They remember me from visit to visit. I have been here more than 10 times. Michael at the front desk is very efficient and friendly. I often see the nurses from the initial setting up area in the recovery area to find beds for their area. It can sometimes look very chaotic but everyone knows their job and gets it done in the fastest time available. The delay in the first check in time is created by doctors who have delays from time to time with patient's procedures taking more time than expected. This is why I always bring something to read!"

"Very unprofessional staff including a woman identified herself as the manager having personal conversations in plain view while every visit for myself or my two family members that also regularly visit Beach District wait for sometimes hours for simple injections is insulting at best to the patients but also to the other staff member(s) and especially recently in the last year or so we are always forced to wait an absurd and unreasonable amount of time. The one positive aspect of each visit is Michael (I'm terrible with names but he stands out) at the front desk who is absolutely wonderful, always friendly and due to him, his lovely demeanor and professionalism all while helping multiple patients and family members/ride to patients (which I am both a patient and a family member/ride of two patients) at one time including myself with paperwork and any of the wide variety of questions being asked, answering telephones and appeared to assist fellow employees is the only reason why they deserve one star. when I'm always hours past my scheduled appointment time and not only the staff but the management is discussing personal things while a single staff member appears to be the only one working and multitasking at that... there is something severely wrong with how Beach District Surgery Center operates."

"The front desk people aren't friendly at all, but nurses were very nice. The one star is for the almost 2 hour wait after my appointment time before I even was taken back for my injection. Absolutely ridiculous, these people need to learn how to schedule."
