"I just reviewed my medical exams preformed by Dr. KIMBRELL, MARK L. Let me just start by saying the information provided by him on my DBQs is inaccurate to say the least. I had my exams back in Oct and he didn't even complete the DBQs until Dec. Additionally, prior to this in-person appointment, I had a 2 hr. phone call with this office going over all my claims/symptoms and none of that information even made it to the report. I am not sure if this office reviewed my medical records but there are confirmed diagnosis in them and the Dr. stated none could be found. If scheduled for this place please makes sure you are prepared for the extra work that comes with the aftermath of inaccurate reporting on you exam."
"Met with Dr. David Parecki today for my MST/PTSD claim. He genuinely showed compassion for what had happened to me 30+ years ago. I felt compelled to share my story of different events that had happened to me during my 10 years span (NOT one isolated incident) while in the service. Not only did he listened, I felt he heard me. The previous Psychologist C&P exam I attended, was horrible. The doctor was not interested in what I had to say. He only pretty much wanted me to answer yes/no to his questions. I felt like a guilty convict on a witness stand in a courtroom being cross examed, more than anything else. All I asked was to allow me to tell my story of what happened and how it has affected the trajectory of my life still decades later. I feel that Dr. Parecki understood me and the pain that I've endured. I am grateful to him. I hope that he will acurately capture my symptoms. That is all I ask, is to rate me accurately reflecting my symptoms/issues."
"I've had 2 exams here and had to update my review from 1 star to 3. My first exam was an audiology exam for tinnitus and hearing loss. Denied for both even though I was exposed to noise and had symptoms. Went to a second exam in walnut Creek and was granted with the same symptoms. That was the reason for 1 star. Just got back from second exam for IBS, gerd, headache, radiculopothy, sleep apathy. Exam was with Dr Kimbrell who was very pleasant and professional. A really nice person. Will update review when I find out if the symptoms were accurately documented. I encourage other vets to leave reviews to help each other out. Back down to 2 stars. Dr was nice, but did not accurately document my symptoms in my opinion. Recommend submitting personal statement describing symptoms with each claim which I did not have."
"I've gone to all of my appointments and checked in early. QTC scheduled all of my appointments with no regard to location, mileage, or logistics. I've driven 45 mins to Fremont 3 times in the last week. The first was an hour long appointment, the second was a 15 min appointment, and the third was just to have labs done at Quest only to check in and to never be seen. I waited over an hour outside of the facility to be texted by their automated system because they were well over the capacity for the number of people in the waiting area with no one to police COVID standards. After I waited for over an hour I went back to find that they were closed because it was a Saturday and they closed at 11am. Luckily, one of the QTC techs (very nice btw) was able to draw my labs, so the trip was not without reason. Why couldn't the techs just do the lab work and save me the trip? Yesterday, I had an appointment in San Francisco. I hate going into the city because it's stressful, expensive parking, plus traffic on a Monday morning at 8am. I get to my appointment on time to be told the tech had called out for the day and I would not be able to have my x-rays completed. Not to mention it took the receptionist 15 mins to check in one person because she was texting on her phone. I saw with my two eyes that she was texting while trying to check someone in, not to mention it would have been nice for them to call to let me know that the tech called out and my appointment needed to be rescheduled. Frustrated doesn't begin to describe how I feel. I've had to call QTC at least 5 times because of issues with them scheduling providers. I was told by a tech to reschedule an entire day because the provider wasn't seeing females. Each time I'm told to reschedule or I have to reschedule because someone called out I spend no less than 30-45 mins on the phone for hit or miss results. Yesterday, I was told by QTC that because I couldn't get my x-rays done I would need to wait over a month. Why can't they reschedule these appointments when they can't cover people for (insert excuse)? Why do I need to waste my time on the phone trying to take care of their issues? Also, I have an appointment with an optometrist at 9:30am in Elks Grove... It's 1.5 hours drive from where I live to Elks Grove. Not including traffic. Plus, a toll bridge. I'm not eligible for reimbursement... even though someone on one of my many phone calls said I can be reimbursed. No one deserves this treatment and they should do better with our tax dollars."
"If you can avoid this place, please do so. The ladies who work up front are nice but Dr. Zorilla is very rude and I felt as if he accusing me of making up my condition. He is not for Veterans. I have been dealing with my condition and the chronic pain associated with is for over 6 years, and Dr. Zorilla treated me as if I were a waste of time. I’m now possibly facing having to fight the VA to keep my rating the same because of him. It doesn’t matter how you feel about something, you should still keep your professionalism, and Dr. Zorilla has none. I have contacted QTC headquarters about this and hopefully something will be done about it."
