"My mother had a colonoscopy with Dr Hosseini MD, which at the time, seemed to go smoothly. Covid precautions and communication were good. However, after the colonoscopy, there was NO communication. I have emailed Mandy D several times asking her to call me, she refused. A month goes by, my mother asks me several times if Dr Hosseini has called with the results, I told her the truth, there was no contact. She assumed this was a good and positive sign, no call means good news. I randomly found a letter in my mother's patient portal that indicated abnormal findings. Heart breaking. Instead of the doctor, I now have to try to read and interpret the patient findings and explain this to her. After I found the letter, I scheduled a telehealth appointment with someone who quickly hung up before I could say thank you.' Initially, I wanted to thank Dr Hosseini. Now, I'm pretty disappointed and worried about how his patients are being cared for. Just an update on what happened four months after, I posted the above. About a month after, I called the office to ask questions about the letter. The office manager called me back and we talked for about an hour. During this time, she gave me the findings and explained what they meant. I let her know that while it was nice to get this information, I would have preferred to hear it from the M.D. She became super upset; she raised her voice, told me I was 'demeaning' her, and threatened to hang up on me. After another 30 minutes of calming "her" down, she finally understood what I was trying to say and apologized. Three months later, I got a call from the same office manager saying the doctor wanted to go over the findings with my mother and I. He should have asked us to come in shortly after there were findings from his surgery! I reminded the office manager that she gave me the findings and that it'd been four months since my mothers' appointment. She then asked me to remove this posting/review (probably the only reason he wanted us to come in). I let her know my feelings were the same...and let her know I hope they change their policies towards their patients."
