Reviews
"Whatever you do don't ask Dr. Raphael Merriman questions or expect a call back from him or his staff because he gets really angry. If your family members ask questions he feels threatened and retaliates by threatening to discharging the patient. How can you live with yourself by not answering simple questions about a family member and your patient who is dying and needs a life saving liver transplant. Or better yet, manipulate the situation by asking the patient if they think he is doing a good job or if they trust him. Then gives an ultimatum to the dying patient, if your family doesn't stop calling and emailing me I'm going to discharge you from my practice because this is hurting my feelings. Dr. Merriman claims to be a teacher but he can't answer questions. So I withdrew my complaint with Sutter, the Medical Board of California, and Quality of Care but not before explaining why. Sad, really sad."
"Proceed with extreme caution. Your dealing essentially with an insurance company / hybrid and if my outcome is any indication the minute you walk through this door you are in trouble. I have been walking on a broken foot & leg for a year. I changed Insurance with the assurance that I could go to doctors that did not work for this company. I have been trying to get PT for a couple of weeks. No luck, No straight answer about costs. Learn finally today that my co pay will eventually be 20% or $160- per visit, deductible doubles & an additional charge of $380 per visit if it happens to be a hospital. When I paid for my own PT it was about $160 a visit."
"They work as a team & make it happen!"
