Reviews of 7-Eleven
"Because it's the first and only gas station you see after exiting southbound Highway 1, this 7-11 charges much higher prices for gas. Save your money and get gas about a half mile further on Del Monte Ave instead, where there are four other stations to choose from. I would avoid the Shell station though; they are the first station encountered when exiting from northbound Highway 1, so naturally they cynically pad their gas prices too. I dislike stations that prey on those passing through an area. Locals are aware of those establishments, but everyone else get fleeced, and it gives the town a bad impression."
"Terrible! Smells like piss. Machines don't work with cards even though they have readers. The store owner is rude and aggressive. No wonder he can't keep workers, I see new faces there every time I go. I'll be going a lot less."
"During my recent visit to this establishment, I encountered a situation that left me deeply unsettled. As a local resident and a devoted first responder, I've been a loyal patron for quite some time. Typically, when I use their cups to fill with ice, they charge me a reasonable $0.50, a practice I've never had an issue with since it includes a new cup. However, my past experiences here have been different when I use my own cup β I've usually received the ice for free.On this particular visit, I encountered someone who appeared to be the store owner. To my surprise, he insisted on charging me $1 for each of my own cups filled with ice, which seemed illogical and inconsistent with the usual practice. This not only felt like an attempt to overcharge for a service that had previously been complimentary but also contradicted the cost when using their cups. In response to my expressed dissatisfaction, as I was leaving, he physically grabbed my cups, holding onto them and aggressively shoving and pushing them in our direction, creating a chaotic scene within the store. This unwarranted physical altercation over the use of my property was not only shocking but also clearly crossed the line of acceptable behavior towards innocent, regular, and normal customers. To add to the gravity of the situation, I want to mention that I took the step of calling the non-emergency marina PD to inform the owner of his borderline illegal assault. This was done with the hope that he comprehends the potential consequences, including the possibility of facing lawsuits, should he act in such an unwarranted manner towards innocent, regular, and normal customers in the future. I also intend to report this incident to the corporate office and the Better Business Bureau. If I had the option, I would rate this establishment with zero stars. Such an unprovoked and aggressive incident is unprecedented in my life and raises significant concerns about the safety and treatment of customers."
"Never going to this one again! Today I saw the store owner physically assault a customer for getting ice in 2 cups he brought in. Wild to think that someone would risk everything to stop someone taking water that is free according to company policy. Thought it was just an employee at first but that's a major lawsuit if I've ever seen one!"
"Total trash, go elsewhere. The pumps have credit and debit buttons, but they don't work. You must slide your card first, then it asks you is this a debit card yes or no, use key pad, but the key pads DO NOT have yes or no tabs anywhere on them. Now, you have to go inside to pay, where the employees also do not know what buttons are suppose to be yes or no. Often times there are a bunch of dirt bags loitering out front and on b the side of the building. I certainly wouldn't want my wife or kids having to walk away from the vehicle and go inside to pay if they were here. In short, you're better off just going elsewhere.."
