Reviews
"This review is for Swedish American Hall and Cafe Du Nord as a wedding venue. I worked with a client of mine for months looking at different venues all over Northern California and the big search ended when we toured SAH. The couple was looking for a place they could truly celebrate and spend time with each one of their guests over a 9 hour event period. Working with the crew at SAH was a true delight as they were incredibly responsive and knowledgeable when it comes to events in their space. On the day of, their AV tech, bartenders, security and other on-site staff were accommodating and supportive. The cherry on top was walking guests down to Cafe Du Nord for a rad rainbow lit dance floor that went until 1am. Thank you all for an amazing event!"
"time noted on ticket stated 730pm doors did not open till 745pm music did not start till 850pm man checking IDs ... on the street ... reeked of alcohol photos on the SAH website do not accurately portray the venue. the name does. it's a hall. found only one bathroom two stalls no urinal ~if there is another, staff certainly didn't know ~ nice crowd for the maria's tho i chock that up to the band and not the venue"
"Really impressed with this quaint venue. The hall is beautifully crafted and excellent for intimate shows - it reminded me more of a wedding reception hall. It feels cozy but not crowded. The bar is super accessible, reasonably priced, and they even offer soda in the can which is a life saver if you're not drinking. With general admission tickets, I wasn't sure whether to expect all standing room or seating, but thankfully it was a mix of both. Seats were filled up when we got there, but the staff was just setting up an additional couple rows and we were able to get seats after all. The view of the small stage is great from pretty much any angle. Bar and bathrooms are close by so don't have to miss much. Only complaint is the folding chairs weren't very comfortable after about 5 minutes of sitting, but I'm grateful they were provided regardless. Overall awesome experience - I'll be looking for upcoming events at this venue."
"Cute venue with lots of space. Very small stage which is basically 2 steps. Not sure if they ever use a barrier but it was still a very fun show. They have a small balcony above the floor (however it was for VIP only at my show). It looks like the matterhorn ride at Disneyland!"
"This place was small and intimate but the sound kind of also reflected this. It wasn't super loud (not sure if you're into that or not) I think it could have been a little louder. It has a good layout though. A decent size balcony for that overhead view. There's a bar located in the back. I enjoyed myself but I felt like the sound was lacking just a little."
