"We have been bringing our dogs to Pooch and Purr for several years now (I think it’s been 5 or more years now). They clean our dogs really well and they seem to like the place. However, the treatment we received yesterday was unacceptable. They called me at 2:21 PM and said the dogs were ready and they would be shutting down and closing at 3PM. I hadn’t made it there by 3PM so they called me back and threatened to board my dogs until Tuesday and charge me fees for the boarding (it was Saturday) if I didn’t make it there in the next ten minutes. I was on my way there but I told them it would take me 15 minutes to get there. I arrived at 3:15PM. I was then informed I would have to pay a $30 charge, which he went on to tell me it was usually $30 per dog. They ONLY take cash. No ApplePay, nothing. CASH only, which has never been a problem but when I showed up I had the amount I anticipated paying. I was then told to go to the ATM next door to get the rest of the money. The reason this entire experience is disappointing is the way I was treated. I feel I was treated as if I am not a regular customer who has been coming to this grooming salon for years. This was my first time ever hearing about a 15 minute $30 late charge. I reminded them that the time on Google said they closed at 6PM, which is what I was used to over the years. The owner responded and said he had nothing to do with the closing time Google has on its website and that Google also states that they are a mobile grooming service but they are not. I went on to ask, “are you not the owner?” He said, “yeah, but we aren’t responsible for what’s on Google. See, we don’t even have closing times on our doors.” (Basically, we close when we want to.) The encounter was void of any personal connection as if they had no idea that I was their regular customer. We frequent small businesses to receive a more personal experience, to have a personal relationship with the owners with whom we choose to spend our money. We can go to PetCo or PetSmart to get the revolving door customer service experience. Kyle & Co., just some tips to improve your customer service experience: update your policies and provide copies to all your clients (e.g., additional charges, updated prices, boarding, etc.). Indicate on the policy that you have revolving business hours which are subject to change and the hours posted on Google are not reflective of your store hours. But just to be clear, YOU are the owners of your business and can update information on Google as needed. It is ridiculous to tell your long-time customers something like that. I’m so sad they decided to treat us this way because we’ve never had any issues before, but this kind of customer service experience cannot be tolerated. But, Be Blessed Pooch & Purr."
"I’m a returning customer and took my daughter dog for her first groom and mind you we booked way advance to avoid over booked. We drop her off 3hrs later they called for us to pick her up, nothing was done and wasted our time! If you can’t handle that much dogs in one day stop over booking your customers and wasted our time!!!!! Do better Pooch & Purr!"
"Extremely terrible customer service. It was my first time booking an appointment for my dog. When I called to check when will I be ready to pick him up, he said that just take him now. Kept him for 3 hours and then called us back to pick him. No service was provided and wasted my time. Rude!!"
"First time customer here and will definitely be back. Dropped off and let them know I wanted a "teddy bear" cut. He also got a wash, nail trim and ears cleaned. Got a phone call 15 mins before he was ready to be picked up as well. Was able to get an appt in 3 days since it was a weekday. I heard weekends will be further out. Turned my scruffy old dog into a puppy again!"
