"Office never bothers to answer their phone"

"I am Court appointed conservator for my friend Kent for many years now. We have gone to Dr. Weinstein for over 10 years, probably between 12 and 14 years. For many years we had a monthly appointment but for the past several years we saw him every other month which was necessary for prescription refills. The following is a story that needs to be told. On Feb. 11, 2019 we had a 3:45 appointment scheduled. For this I drove to Kent’s adult day care, picked him up and went to Dr. Weinstein’s office where we found an empty office other than the receptionist who informed us that the Dr. was attending a conference. While I was not exactly happy, I tried to be reasonable. The lady told me they tried to call me but were unsuccessful. I asked what number they used and she accurately gave my cell phone number. I told her that they did not call and that since it was a cell phone there would be a record. There was no record of any call coming from them nor was there a message. She continued to say they had called. After the third claim I finally said, “Stop saying that! It’s annoying and it’s untrue. A new appointment was set for today, Feb. 25th at 4:00. Last Friday, Feb 22, I received a call from the other receptionist (the two happen to be sisters) who informed me she was not only canceling our Monday appointment, but they were discharging Kent as a patient since I had been rude to her sister! This would be leaving us in the lurch with no Doctor and no refills for Kent’s medications. I told her I intended to keep the appointment as I would only take such a declaration from the Dr., not the receptionist. I then called Kent’s social worker who gave me the number of medical to file a complaint. Today Dr. Weinstein backed his receptionist and told us in essence that he was “firing” us. He said he could give no recommendation for another doctor. When I protested he said the receptionist had complained about my behavior in the past, something neither Kent or I can recall. In any case we must have been so bad that they could only endure 12 or 14 years of our abuse. Change is a difficult thing for Kent and coupled with their making false accusations makes this incident very upsetting. Since I already filed a complaint we will see what actions will be taken. While writing this review I found it telling that this is the third complaint against his office and the all referenced the front office staff as the problem."

"You WOULD NOT believe the receptionist here! So unproffesional I cannot believe the level of disrespect and immature behavior this lady exudes. I cannot believe anyone would even hire or keep someone so incompetent for such a job. We show up early for an appointment (always takes WELL OVER and hour to be seen) lady I talked with said her appointment was at 1:30pm. It was almost 4pm when I had asked. We show up for our appointment wait for well over an hour and the receptionist isn't even there. Waiting room was packed and nobody was as getting called in. So after the hour we decide to just leave and call asking when we can come in to ACTUALLY be seen. Rude receptionist tells us that we never showed up. Which is great considering we LEFT A NOTE EVEN SIGNED IN. So I tell this lady that this is not how you run a professional business and I would like to speak to the doctor. She adamantly refuses and said she will leave a message for him (which is a joke because we have tried that she never actually leaves a message) so when I tell her YET AGAIN if we can be seen she hangs up on me. You read that right. She just hung up. Annoyed we drive BACK AGAIN to the office where guess what same patients from earlier still waiting to be seen. We sit down and just wait for the doctor the emerge from his room. He does then I hear the receptionist lie the doctor saying that we never showed up when she knew that was untrue with the sign in sheet and note we left. We finally see the doctor and he tries to sort things out (although really I'm sure he knows about her imcompetence since we hear them bicker alot waiting for our appointments. Why not just fire her) so we sort things out with him and we come out to reschedule an appointment and she very rudely says "everyone is entitled to a lunch break" we arrived at two. She was not back until 3:18 that is not a lunch break. The doctor even admitted she leaves to pick up her children so another lie from the receptionist. An hour and 18 minured is not a "lunch" this lady does not know left from right. She makes up things on the spot to lie to the doctor to make the patient look like they are at fault. So after even resolving the situation with the doctor this immature lady who isn't competent enough to do her job still tries to cause problems. This is a psychiatrist and she treats the patients like dirt. Taking mentally ill people and treating them like garbage. The other review here explains this perfectly also. So unless this lady gets fired please dont come here unless you enjoy being disrespected, long waits, and a lady so incompetent it makes you want to gouge your eyes out. I wasn't going to even bother with a review after speaking to the doctor about her absolute lack of professionalism, but she just had to keep being rude! So here it is. This is what happened to me and many others. I spoke with and other patient who said she wouldnt even come here if there was another option through her insurance. Save yourself a headache and don't bother even coming here unless by some miraculous miracle they find a competent receptionist who can be proffesional, schedule appointments properly, and not be gone with almost a dozen patients waiting to be seen. If I can't find another place to go I guess my partner and I are stuck here. Doctor is competent and proffesional. But going through the hassle of the receptionist and the wait times is NOT worth it."
