"Wow what a poor experience. I have dealt with many medical practices and doctors so recognize red flags when I see them. I truly hope they can fix things otherwise their administration is preventing their doctors from truly helping people. Read below for experience: I had my company's advocate locate a provider in network and they referred this group. When I called to book an appointment, they said I had to email over my insurance card first before even booking it. Other offices take this over the phone, and also work with the insurance to help their patients. Regardless, I emailed it. I left a message to book an appointment in which they never returned. I called multiple times, no answer. I finally got a hold of the receptionist who said I had to fill out the many pages of paperwork in addition to the insurance card before even booking an appointment. It also included signing that I would be liable for cash visit costs. (upwards of $400 dollars for an initial evaluation). While on the phone I articulated to receptionist that I felt uncomfortable signing this when I was told they take my insurance and didn't understand why I couldn't book the appointment. (They were booked months out) I was interrupted and met with defensiveness and hostility. "This is our process. Don't know what to tell you. Insurances won't talk to me." I also asked if there was an electronic way to fill this out as it didn't make sense to send this sensitive PHI data via email and she said I could fill it out and drop it off at their office - AGAIN before even booking a new appointment! I asked the individual's name and she said it was Bobbie M. Very disappointing. Navigating mental health in modern society is hard enough- I would hope providers would want to make this easier, not harder."
"My psychiatrist is only working one day a week now and I am NEVER able to get into contact with her no matter how many calls I give the office. No matter how many times I go to the pharmacy. My medicine is never refilled in time and often am missing medicine during my pickup and is scheduled for a later day (Prozac is ready but Lamictal is not, Ritalin extended release cannot be found, prescription for Ritalin short release has been "expired." Need to come back in 2 weeks for my Lamictal and call psychiatrist to refill a prescription that should already be there). My psychiatrist, Dr. Rahat Aulukh has always been helpful and kind. I have been "seeing" her over the phone since covid since I'm no longer able to come to her office since I live in Davis now for school. My only way of contact is through the phone or email, which I never get a call back. When I call and say I have been out of extended release Ritalin for a month she blamed the pharmacy which at first I believed. Now reading other reviews I see the system is messy. My pills should be ready all at once every 30 days. I am running out of pills and desperately need help. I hope this review gets the attention of the office because I NEED them to give me a call back and send my pills to the right pharmacy. All of them. Either their electronic prescription transfer needs to be updated or they need a better scheduling system with better trained staff. I am incredibly stressed. My doctor has told me I need a blood test to continue medication yet I am not able to get a referral for a blood test site because they do NOT get back to me. I need my medicine. Please please respond to my calls and emails. I can't function without my medication. I'm begging to get a call back."
"Dr. Khalique was great and I actually learned a lot from my one meeting with him. However my experience with the office was horrible. I should have known when in the beginning someone called to intake me but I already had an appt scheduled and had already gone through the process and the lady was rude & short with me for it. After my initial appt, I was meant to schedule a 6-week follow up. I called the office multiple times and at different times just to try and get a response. I left voice messages. I even sent an email as after over 2 months on a new medication, THEY WERENT EVEN RESPONDING TO MY PHARMACIST and I had to ween myself off the medication with only 6 doses left as I was terrified of withdrawal. No one should have to do that. It could have caused a psychiatric emergency and thankfully I made it through. I don’t know what I did wrong, I used my insurance and paid what I owed, but the negligence in having someone have to frantically figure out how to ween themselves off a medication your office prescribed just because you refuse to answer anyone, is really not ok."
"Dr. Khalique is the best of the best. He has healing hands. After going through multiple doctors, I found him through a referral, out of network, and he changed my life."
"After two years of continuous panic attacks and related sufferings, doctor Khalique stabilized my son who has autism and possibly bipolar, and he did that with a single medication trail. No nasty brain-numbing neuroleptics, no medication cocktails, and surprisingly, there has been no weight-gain or drowsiness either. Dr. Khalique listens carefully and cares about his patients quality of life. So, it is needless to say that I feel grateful to him and I can't recommend him enough."
