"This is a very special place to me. I got my rescue dog from here 4 to 5 years ago. Do not go to breeders to get your dogs or cats. There are plenty of animals that need homes in these shelters and if you don’t adopt them, they sometimes euthanize them because they have no homes. So please consider this before you go and get a dog or cat from a breeder and please spade and neuter your animals to keep this disastrous. thing from happening. and also if you’re not serious about adopting, an animal or are not committed to taking care of an animal, don’t go down there. It would just be a waste of time. I am heartfelt about this because I believe people need to commit to their pets after they adopt them, my dog was surrendered to the shelter for reasons that I am still unsure about so don’t get an animal if you’re not going to take care of it"
"They’re accepting donations of dog beds, crates, towels, blankets and unopened treats. I stopped by today with some donations and was welcomed by the front desk associate. The drop off was easy and quick and there was ample parking. Exiting can be tricky if you’re trying to make a left back up Gaffey. They have so many great pets up for adoption and I learned that they even have training school for the dogs so when you adopt a foster they’re already trained and so well behaved. Please consider visiting to drop off donations or adopt a pet."
"The only reason it's not 1* is because I adopted a cat here a long time ago and it was a fast easy process. I guess times have changed because I called yesterday to report a stray cat that has imprinted on me, and was living at my front door. I asked them what can they do to help (the website states to call a number in this case, and that they'd give information and tips). The man who picked up told me to spray the cat with my hose and hope it goes away. I told him the cat refuses to leave and has started attacking my other cats since we haven't fed him in weeks since we can't afford it. He said the cat has a right to roam. Buddy... The cats not roaming, it's stationary and is choosing to starve rather than hunt. He hung up on me and I had no choice but to drop him off somewhere and hope he'd find a loving family since he is tame with humans but not other cats. Breaks my heart because I couldn't find anyone willing to adopt him and the shelter was absolutely no help at all. If this is how they treat animals in need I can't imagine how they treat the pets in custody."
"Loved the experience here, the volunteers are all super helpful! Ended up adopting a wonderful kitten myself, hurry there because it’s currently cat season!"
"First time, took my 2 eight week puppies for their first vaccines. Waiting room pretty small but was seen pretty quick .Receptionist was nice , provide information we ask for and felt comfortable when taking them to the back. Over all it was a good experience and we will be in 30 days for their second round of vaccines."
