"I love the Gap! Reasonably priced, top quality clothing and the best sales."
"Great customer service. Staff went above and beyond to locate items in different sizes. A 40% off sale was a added bonus"
"What can I say, I needed pants; they had pants. This store features some of the exact same items you see online, with the added convenience of being able to try them on. The men's selection is restricted to only about 20% of the store. Staff were very nice and helpful."
"Very disappointed with Customer service. Ordered online T-Shirt (black color)and went to exchange it because their style number was wrong due toa faulty online coding. I got a different color (charcoal). So the sales associate was just blaming me for the mistake instead of looking for a solution. Without informing me she returned the T-shirt and credited the sales amount and told me: “You can go online and order another one”. The end result being the same until they could fix their online coding purchase. Before explaining this process to me, she just returned the merchandise and credited back to my purchase and left me there, turning her back on me and doing something else. Very rude. She talked on the phone to an associate and said, quote: “I do not understand what she wants”. I felt she treated me as if I was stupid. I have a foreign accent and thought I did not understand English. Because of this I couldn’t use the coupon I used on my original order when the merchandise was returned. I am a regular costumer at Gap, Gap Kids online and in store."
"No exchange and a total rip-off. Someone I love bought a pair of jeans as a gift to me. The jeans were small so I went to this store to exchange them for a bigger size. The sales associate at the Gap store returned the pants and credited the sales amount and told me I had to pay for the new pair of jeans. Before explaining this process to me, she just returned the merchandise and credited the account back to the purchaser. My question was: if that was a gift, how logical is it that now I have to pay for my own gift? I asked for an exchange of a gift, I should not be paying for it. She said I did not understand what she said, she treated me as a stupid person. I want to think she was not been racist because I have a foreign accent and thought I did not understand English. She blamed me as it was my fault. She pointed and me with her finger and said you do not understand what I said. * Let me digest what happened there, someone gives me a gift and when I need to exchange it for the right size I have to pay for it? How stupid is that? In conclusion, don't buy anything from Gap as a gift because the person that receives the gift will not be able to exchange it, he/she will have to pay for it. Moreover, the original purchase had a $50 coupon that was totally lost when the merchandise was returned. So The Gap, you own me those $50. That was a total rip-off. Customer service = 0 Why? blaming the customer for the sale associate mistake instead of looking for a solution. That is a huge gap in customer service, someone has to fix it. ** Will I recommend this store, or the Gap for that matter, to my friends or anyone? Answer: No way."
