"AJ Tutoring delivers top notch tutoring to kids! My son is receiving a weekly session with Sven Engvall at AJ Tutoring to help him on AP English literature class now. Sven is an excellent teacher; although my son generally is not interested in literature, Sven makes my son engaging in the topic and my son started developing strong interest in Eng. Lit. Most of all, my son enjoys each session and always looks forward to it, which is really good to see. Also my son took a SAT prep class and US History with Kavya Ramanan a year or so ago. Kavya was also engaging, making the subject very interesting, and my son enjoyed her sessions very much, improving his SAT score very much!. My son also took AP chem class with Robert Jonas during summer, and he is acing every test in high school AP chem class although he did not take any chemistry class before. I was listing to some of his AP chem sessions alongside and was extremely impressed by the depth of his scientific knowledge and engaging teaching style as well. "We have had a great experience with AJ tutoring, where both our kids have used many tutors across the years. All the tutors they have had have been excellent, professional, and caring. One tutor that my son has kept across the years (6 years) has been Asia, for English tutoring. Even when my son doesn't have any school assignments to work on, my son happily goes to his sessions. When he was younger, she would assign him short stories to read, to help him with reading comprehension and literary analysis. Over the years, he started using some of his session time to work on his creative writing. Asia is kind and supportive and has helped him become a much better writer.
