This doctor, who was covering for my daughter's regular pediatrician, displayed a lack of compassion and professionalism throughout our conversation. I had simply wanted to ensure that my child's oxygen levels were within the normal range, given the reading I obtained at home. However, the doctor questioned why I was using a reader at home and expressed confusion as to why I would even consider doing so. Furthermore, she advised me to go to bed and leave everything as is, disregarding my concerns as a concerned parent. The doctor's dismissive attitude and abrupt hang-up only added to my frustration. I found her lack of understanding and empathy deeply troubling. In today's context, where COVID-19 has heightened our awareness of health monitoring, it is only natural for a parent to utilize an oxygen level finger monitor to ensure their child's well-being."
