"Dr. Taras said schools should not reopen 5 days a week until all the children get vaccinated for Covid-19 in a recent school board meeting. Not only does the doctor not have the expertise to make that type of statement, there are plenty of studies showing that schools can be opened safely with basic mitigation measures. The data is very clear. Teachers are more likely to die driving to school (assuming commute is over 5 miles) than from contracting covid in the classroom. I am planning to file a complaint with the CA medical board against Dr. Taras for his statements that are manipulative, fear mongering, and harming childrens health in our city. I hope that other parents will join me in standing up against this man. We need to take the microphone away before he does more damage to the kids in San Diego Unified."
