"Good luck trying to get vaccine records. My daughter had an appointment coming up and after leaving a week of voice-mails for Erin the nurse (hopefully Alaya from scheduling gave me the correct name) I finally got a hold of her the following Monday around noon. She took down my email address but never sent the vaccine records I requested. I called the scheduling department for the next day in a half to explain my situation and they would just carelessly transfer me back to Erin the nurses voice-mail. It wasn't until I started asking for names and advised I'm going to leave a review when Erin decided to finally email the vaccine records. Very disappointing and frustrating."

"We love surf city pediatrics! We’ve been seeing Dr. Bennett for 6.5 years (starting with my daughter and now my two sons, 5 & 2.5). We’ve seen Dr. Kasamatsu, Dr. Pepek and Lacey as well over the years… all have been excellent. I always feel listened to, I never feel rushed and have confidence in the care given to my children. I see other reviewers complaining about the front office staff (I’ve always found them pleasant). We also really appreciate Erin & Cheryl, the triage nurses. Thank you Dr. Bennett and team!"

"My daughter had an appointment there this past Monday at 10am and I called to check in 10 minutes early. The lady who was at the front desk answering the phone was extremely rude and unprofessional. When I called I was told there was not a room ready and someone would call me shortly when our room is ready so we can come inside the doctors office, but I never received a call so I called back. I asked if a room was ready since it was already past my appointment time and tried explain that I needed to be back at work at a certain time. The lady who answered the phone just kept talking over me and saying she is not the doctor and the doctor can take as long as she wants seeing other patients and I will have to wait however long it takes. I tried to explain my appointment was10am and she tried to tell that my appointment time does not matter. She would not let me talk and just kept cutting me off. I was told that there were other patients ahead of me even though at this point it was past my appointment time. I took time off work to take my daughter to her appointment, but my daughter never got seen by the doctor. I had to just leave to make it back to work in time, and I did not to deal with someone so unprofessional working at a children’s doctors office. Each time I go there that same lady working the front desk always has a bad attitude and does not know how to be professional. I found a new doctors office with a good doctor and wonderful staff. It is a shame that Surf City Pediatrics front staff are too difficult to work with , because Doctor Benett was a really good doctor and great with my daughter."

"This group is spectacular. Dr. Pepek expertly guided my child through some complex and severe medical problems. Every CHOC Specialist spontaneously commented what a great doctor she is. We also see the newer partner, Dr. Watson, who my teens adore and I trust completely. The nurses and staff are supportive and kind. I truly appreciate this practice and their care of my children."
