"This pediatrician USED to be a great place for our family. During our most recent visit, we asked for an actual RN to administer vaccine(s). We had no issues during the visit, but over a week later we received a call from Sherry. Sherry stated, we ask parents will be banned from requesting a licensed RN. She said she decided a “policy” not allowing parents to ask for an RN would take effect immediately. I asked for a written statement of such “policy” and she replied, “it’s a verbal policy.” This makes absolutely no sense! How is it possible that a health care provider suddenly decide to deny an RN. Backstory: almost a year prior a non RN attempted to perform an ear flush but she was clearly shaking and said she had never performed an ear flush. After a few minutes of my baby screaming and crying, I asked for doctor to return. He brought in another girl and after obvious pain to my child, the doctor decided to give us a referral to ENT doctor. We immediately received a call after this visit and we’re told to ask for a nurse at any point we feel we need one. Unfortunately, the only time we did follow through with their offer, they call to tell us we will never be allowed to request a nurse. The ENT doctor performed her ear check (without needing a flush) and determined our child did have an ear infection. We are torn about returning to this pediatrician office because we have found good doctors but they medical staff / support staff has been less and less effective and helpful."
