"Dr. Patel is amazing. I've loved working with her and the nursing/PA staff. However, the way this office is run leaves MUCH to be desired. First, the office staff are never friendly. Never disrespectful, but never warm and welcoming. It was honestly fine at first because I'm not there for the socialization. What really pushed me over the edge is the total lack of consideration for my time and their completely antiquated system. I know we're all busy and that customer service isn't an easy job, but the service we got from the front desk here was the absolute worst. They are so far behind the times that they can't scan and email any documentation to you - but they can fax it - because in 2021, fax machines are a household item. But at the same time, they're so high tech that when they had a power outage they couldn't call to let me know they had to cancel my appointment because all of their records are online. So there wasn't a single charged device that had client phone numbers to provide a courtesy call? I had to get there - after taking my daughter out of school early - only to realize the office was closed due to power outage once I arrived. Ok, it happens. No one can control mother nature, but I've worked in customer service all my life. We usually keep some paper records or have some kind of contingency plan for this exact kind of situation. Furthermore, I never got a call once they did return to the office to apologize or reschedule. I had to follow up with THEM to get my daughter seen for a possible urinary tract infection. When I said it was unacceptable, they couldn't have cared less. Never got a single apology. Honestly, I loved the care we got from the doctor but I wouldn't recommend this place unless you have an endless amount of time on your hands."

"My daughters and my niece got in an car accident, hit by a drunk driver. My niece got hurt pretty bad but is going to be ok. One of daughters had to go to emergency room by ambulance. She had busted nose , bruises and sprained ankle. My other daughter, was saved by airbag. She had minor cuts bruises and burns. Thank God nothing seemed life threatening. But I was encouraged by ER and my attorney to make sure my daughters see primary care physician which is Dr.Patel. to get a referral to a pain specialist, from there get into physical therapy if needed. But most importantly to get a MRI to make sure my daughters don’t have unforeseen injuries internally, or down the road any pain related to accident. I upon my daughters release from hospital I tried to get them to see Dr. Patel ASAP, but she refused to take a “walk-in”. Dr. Patel made my daughters wait an additional four days before being seen. Once she allowed one of my daughter to come in for appointment, I mentioned that I needed a referral to pain specialist and MRI. For some odd reason she got agitated and said “my insurance will not cover MRI”...”and I don’t give refer juveniles to pain specialist that’s only for adults.” I then mentioned that I have good insurance and my insurance will cover any cost. She then said, “you’re welcome to get a second opinion and rolled her computer cart out of room and abruptly walked away. Leaving my daughter and I staring at other each other wondering what just happened?? Dr. Patel needs a new profession or maybe a loooooong vacation to gather her thoughts about why she became a doctor. If it’s NOT to do the best job possible to serve her patients, to hear them out and make sure they are the most healthy people under her care then she is bad for patients in Ventura County. I encourage anyone looking for doctor do not go to this doctor and if you are under her care now I’d start looking for a new doctor before Dr. Patel does something similar to you."

"Dr. Patel saw my daughter for the first time today. Really thorough, lot's of questions, and took time to listen. She seems passionate about the medicine and we are so happy to have found her! Blanca her assistant was the best, my daughter felt very comfortable and cared for!"

"Today I saw Dr Shepard, who is very nice and answered all my questions. They even got me in early next day after a last minute call. I have seen the other doctors too and they are all great! Office staff is very helpful and nice too! Great team!"
