"They take animals without properly making sure who the owner is. My cat was taken from me and this place refused to give me information on her and she is legally my cat for 6 years! They didn’t have her age right or anything. They didn’t do the proper procedures to make sure she wasn’t stolen. I was out of town and came home to my baby gone. This is not ok. She is my esa and I will be doing everything to find her. You guys can’t just take cats who look properly cared for. And assume someone isn’t looking for them. The person had no right to surrender her. And these people weren’t concerned with putting her back in her right home but have kept her away from me."

"Great experiencing visiting with two dogs. Ultimately I didn’t end up adopting, but the tech who helped me was very polite and professional and really seemed to care about getting the right dogs in the right homes. She patiently shared trainer notes with me on several dogs before deciding to visit with two of them. Both were bigger, higher energy, and a bit mouthy than what would be ideal in my family with another low energy dog and two small kids so we are going to keep looking. Facilities were nice and clean."

"Solano County Animal Care, in my experience, went far above and beyond every other(7) shelter that we visited today in search of a cat to adopt! They did an instant check on me, instead of requiring several days to go over our paperwork. They seemed happy to serve us and allowed us immediate access (within proper covid restrictions) in order to meet their animals. We ultimately found a cat who was healthy and well cared for that we fell in love with, and were allowed to take her home this evening. I don't think I could speak highly enough of the level of care and service received today! Well worth the drive from the Roseville area!"
