"Tonight, on the eve of Thanksgiving, I want to extend a special thanks to Dr. Finn and his team, who have cared for my wife since her initial cancer diagnosis in March 2020. The chemo and the subsequent radiation have been difficult. But, we are seeing improvement and my Debbie is getting stronger every day. I make a living as a writer but I cannot find the right words to express our gratitude other than THANK YOU in all caps."

"My mother was diagnosed with liver cancer . The tests and biopsy indicated that she was at stage 4 with liver cancer. The tumors were inoperable. Dr. Finn took upon my mother’s treatment, he was caring, he spent a lot of time with us im every visit making sure he explained the treatment plan and ensuring that all of our questions were answered to our satisfaction. Today ... 3 years later my mom continues to get treatment with Dr. Finn and she has responded amazingly to his treatment, and doing extremely well. Through out all this past 3 years, Dr Finn has attended my mom with different treatments and he has worked tremendously to find the right treatment to help my mom. My mom loves him and they have developed a great patient-doctor relationship. I thank God for putting Dr. Finn in our path. We are very grateful for Dr. Finn.. Thank you so much for helping us with my mother’s treatment and well being and allowing us to enjoy her for all this time."

"I am so blessed to have Dr Finn as my cancer doctor. He gave me hope when no one else could. He’s up front and very caring. I am doing so well since my treatment started 6 months ago. My tumors have shrank over 50%. Thank you Dr Finn for everything you’ve done. May God bless."

"Dr Finn took on my wife's cancer treatment with a clinical trial after we had been given the "there is nothing we can do except for treat her cancer with quality of life medications" speech from another cancer doctor. Dr Finn has been nothing but an angel that is here on earth. He accepted my wife's clinical trial request on short notice and made sure she was able to participate in an upcoming trial that started 1 week from our first visit with him. Since being treated, my wife has seen remarkable improvements in her condition. He is up front, meticulous, kind, and always very considerate. Thank you so much Dr. Finn! We are so blessed."

"If you are a patient of Dr. Richard Finn, please make sure that you follow up on all of your test and imaging results yourself. My father was treated by Dr Finn for many years following his liver transplant for bile duct cancer. Surveillance CT scan imaging of the abdomen and chest is standard at regular intervals for this type of situation, according to UCLA's own protocol. My father regularly complied with this protocol, and on one of them...he developed a new suspicious lesion in his lung, which should have raised concern for any physician who regularly treats cancer patients. Moreover, although this lesion was being 'watched,' when it continued to grow in size...and clearly warranted further evaluation, this much was never communicated to my father or family. As the MD ordering said CT scan, it was Dr Finn's responsibility to follow up on this test...especially when the radiologist reading the study noted that the lesion was suspicious for metastasis. He did not. Instead, what was communicated to my father was that his surveillance scans were 'clear'...without evidence of recurrent disease. About a year later, my father presented with advanced, extensive brain metastases; leaving him in a position of vulnerability, as well as inability to effectively communicate during his last days. Further, the sudden onset of this advanced terminal state did not allow my father the time that he deserved to even get his affairs in order. He died shortly thereafter...eight weeks later to be exact. When choosing a physician you look for honesty, trust and integrity. In my opinion this physician failed... on every level. My father should have and would have had more time to decide how he wanted to live the remaining part of his life...had he simply been properly informed. He was not afforded that opportunity. Instead, that was taken away from him because Dr. Finn failed to simply communicate the results of his CAT scan. To add insult in injury, when our family finally had the opportunity to review the imaging results ourselves, and noted this lapse in care...confronting Dr. Finn about it, he simply denied it and instead chose to blame his patient. I am fairly sure that such actions is frowned upon in oncology, and medicine in general. Shame on you, Richard Finn!."
