"A doctor is one who strives to provide quality care to their patients, to possess the ability to have empathy for those who are suffering, a doctor should strive to save lives, and show genuine care when helping patients. These are things that come to mind when one thinks of doctors right? Unfortunately, this was NOT our experience with Dr. Khan. The only words I have to describe this person — who should not hold the title of a doctor is, simply, callous and cruel. Dr. Khan made sure to make my parent, who has been battling cancer, who has been determined to fight in order to live, feel as though he should give up and die! By trying to question his decision to receive Chemo. He went out of his way to remind my parent, on the day that he is to receive chemo, that he should reconsider because he will die anyway. I have never heard of a doctor that is willing to blatantly tell a patient "hey are you sure you want treatment you're dying anyway," on the day he is receiving treatment! It seemed that his goal was to kill his patients morale, because to Doctors like Khan, my parent is just another number, another body that is taking up kaiser's resources. The arrogance of Dr. Khan has made my family and I question the quality of care that Kaiser is providing by employing doctors — who strive to kill a patient's will to live. Please avoid this Doctor at all costs. He has not one sympathetic or compassionate bone in his body and he does not fail to display it, he seemed very proud of himself. Please be weary the experience with Dr. Khan was one of the most unsettling and disturbing experiences my family and I have witnessed. A doctor should have honor, don't doctors take oaths? To provide quality care and show compassion? He has been given the gift to assist in healing those who are sick and then proceeds to tell a patient to stop fighting because he is dying anyway. Please be careful when dealing with Dr. Khan I do not believe he is suitable to provide care to anyone let alone hold a medical license."
