"Where do I even start? I can’t say enough about how well I have been treated by Dr B. and his staff. When I found out I had cancer I saw the surgeon first, and she was so negative about my diagnosis that I felt I shouldn’t even bother with treatment…..that I should just go home and plan my funeral. I was so overwhelmed that I literally had to go home and lay down. Later that day I saw Dr B. for the first time. He was so upbeat and positive about my treatment plan, laying out step by step how he planed on handling my case. He was clear, concise AND addressed my concerns. He took his time and made me feel like my health was important to him. It turned my world around after what I had been through that morning with the surgeon, and got my head into the game. I feel that it set the tone for my entire treatment plan….a positive tone that has continued to play out over the last 10 months. I would 100% recommend to anyone facing cancer, not to hesitate having Dr. Burtzo as their oncologist."

"If you can get them to answer the phone then your ahead of the game. And if you can get them to call back your really ahead of the game. I see some good reviews on here so I guess the kinda pick and choose who they wanna treat with dignity and respect , otherwise your just another number. They act as if your not important but THEY are important. On top of going through all these crazy emotions and physical pain , they seem to not empathize with the patient. And if you have something to say about it they’ll just tell you your wrong and talk circles to you because they’re sooo much smarter then we are. All that college makes them better then the patient. When your covered with tattoos from head to toe like myself , your considered and “undesirable “ by them. Horrible horrible service. Money grab is all it is. What’s important to me and my family was NEVER important to them. I’m absolutely over this place and I’m going to city of hope. Shoulda went there in the first place. Zero stars from me."

"I am currently a patient of Dr. Burtzo's and I am confident that I'm in good hands. He has my trust and admiration. He is always keeping up-to-date with current research. My husband and I have been impressed with his intelligence and memory. Dr. Burtzo has a kind, easy-going manner and I never feel rushed during appointments. He listens carefully and answers all my questions. He also has a good sense of humor! Dr. B and his staff are extremely responsive. If I have a question or concern they are there for me and get back to me very quickly. Grace and Laurie, the front staff, are friendly, caring, and highly competent. I am cancer-free now and have been for several years, but I still feel like a top priority to them. At the beginning of this journey, it was so great to hear my nurses speak so highly of him. One nurse, out of all the oncologists she knows and works with, referred her family member to Dr. Burtzo! Another nurse called him a walking encyclopedia. But what's more impressive to me is how he uses his knowledge to tailor a course of treatment that is right for me. He pays close attention to how I respond to treatment and adjusts accordingly. And years later, I still continue to hear positive anecdotes about Dr. Burtzo's skills and ability from nurses and patients. I am grateful to have him as my doctor. Highly recommend!"
