"I definitely recommend that you do NOT use this veterinary office. Dr. Doane is the most amazing vet, however they clearly have a patient load that they cannot appropriately handle. For the last few years, every single time I called, including recently so it’s not due to Covid, I could not get an appointment for my dog, even if it was a semi emergent situation and even though both my dogs have been with them for years. After pressuring them, the best offer I would ever get is “ fibe, drop your dog off at 7 AM, we will leave her in a crate until lunchtime, and the doctor will take a look at her at her convenience during lunch”. This makes no sense to me as I told them each time, I was willing to come in during the 2 hour lunch break and wait with my dog either in the car or in their waiting room so that she doesn’t have to be kept in a cage. They would not accommodate that. In my opinion, that’s animal cruelty for an animal who is 15 years old and never been in a cage in her life. No regard for the animals!! My dream is that Dr. Doane goes out on her own because she would have quite the following!"

"I used to love this Vet and Dr Liebl however ever since Lieble retired and sold to VCA they have gone downhill at a rapid pace. My dog recently had a lesion and then was throwing up, every time I called to try to get her in - they start the conversation simply by saying "we don't have any openings" - they don't even try or want to see pets anymore. I will never go to a VCA again and I am so sad they have ruined a business Steve Liebl worked so hard to build. RIP Hermosa Animal Hospital"

"Called 10/24/22 "Booked out 8 weeks" although no mention of this on the awkwardly long telephone auto assistant so you'll need to wait 5 minutes to get that information. Edit: Response TO owner - Your assurance is kinda hollow but thanks for the sarcasm. It's obviously not the availability which is a problem since there are only so many hours in a day, but the setup of the system. The auto attendant should mention FIRST that you are NOT accepting new patients and booked out 8 weeks, there is no point in telling a potential customer ALL the other things mentioned on the auto attendant if you are actually unavailable. Since you demonstrated your ability, I hope to see a witty response from you in less than 24h that you have updated the auto attendant to better serve your community. I would happily change this review to 5 stars and mention your ability to update policies and business functions based on logical consumer feedback to thus better serve your community."

"I’ve been seeing Dr. Doane for years and love her. If Dr. Doane is out I feel completely confident in the other vets on staff. I have only good things to say about the support staff, they are friendly and caring. The facility is clean and the cost is competitive. I’ve referred a couple friends and they’ve been happy as well."

"My doggy is 12 and she's been loved and cared for by this team since she was a baby. They have super safe procedures in place for covid. It's the care that is above and beyond!!! She looks great and feels good to after her check up."
