"This academy can not be trusted with children, They kicked my 7 year old daughter out of class for having perfume on, left her unattended, lied to her regarding attempting to contact us to pick her up,and did not respond to multiple requests for a meeting. Save your kids from the feeling of abandonment and embarrassment."
"Positive: My ballet techniques improved a lot. Negative: I won't silence myself anymore. I quit four years ago for various reasons. One of the teachers (whom I won't name) caused me to have anorexia when he repeatedly told many girls and I that we are incapable of becoming ballerinas since we aren't lean enough. Furthermore, when I was diagnosed with scoliosis, I told all of my teachers this, but they still picked on me by calling me names such as "grandma" and "turtle" and grabbing my shoulder blades, trying to "fix" me. Even when I got my parents and the director involved, I only got one week of peace. This chastisement lasted a total of nine months with six classes a week. The number of times all of my teachers chastised me increased from a few times to fifty times (I kept count). I became suicidal from this reoccurrence. Be careful; I hope that four years afterwards, they have improved."

"We are patrons of the Festival Ballet Theater and our daughter attends this school, because we are so pleased with their high quality shows. I highly recommend. The only thing I should mention is that it gets very crowded here especially on weekends and cars aren't as careful as they should be with kids everywhere. There is parking at the rear side of the school. I recommend parking there."
"I had been searching for a ballet academy for both of my young daughters (4 and 7) and Southland Ballet was perfect! They have a large selection of classes throughout the week and offer a 10% discount for siblings. My daughters started in May of this year and have fallen completely in love! They look forward to going to Ms.Cristine's class every week. Highly recommend."
