"Booked a coaching session with owner two weeks in advance. A few hours before my session, I was told the owner was out of town and would not be there. How is this polite? For future, if you book somebody in advance, and instructor/owner cannot make it, the polite thing to do is to inform the person well in advance, not a few hours before their session."
