"Alene is absolutely wonderful! She has been working with my daughter Ellie for a few months now! She started working with my daughter when Ellie was just 5 months old. Alene is so patient and kind with all her students, children respond so well to her! Ellie absolutely LOVES swim time. The pool is such a fabulous temperature! I highly recommend Small Fry Swim School!!! Update: We are back for our second season at Small Fry Swim School and Ellie has made so much progress working with Alene. Our swim lesson days are the highlight of our week, Ellie can't get enough of the water. She is only 18 months and people are shocked when they see her in the pool. Update 2: we are back for our third season at SFSS!! Ellie is now 2 years old and so advanced in the water. She is so brave and loves coming to see Mrs. Alene!! Finding Small Fry was the best thing that happened to us!!"

"My grandaughter started swim lessons with Alene at 10 months. She at once felt comfortable in the water and now at 20 months is doing amazingly well. Alene is gentle, patient and encouraging and her students are eager to earn her praise and little rewards. If there is any sign of fear in the child to do something, she will back off and approach the challenge in a different way later. Keeping their trust is paramount to her. My granddaughter is always excited to join Alene in the pool and loves their time together."

"The. Best. I have twin two year old boys who resisted hard for their first month of lessons but Alene was so patient with them and continually reassured me. Now my boys love going to swim lessons are making so much progress. She has taught them to swim across the pool, climb out, dive, and swim to the bottom. I am so greatful for the skills she is teaching my boys and the grace she shows through the whole process."

"Our son Jack has been swimming with Alene since he was 18 months old. We started him in April and by August he was ready for his first Hawaiian vacation filled with tons of pool and ocean time. No one could believe our barely 2-year old could swim across the pool. Swim is now back in session and within a matter of weeks Jack has learned both freestyle and breast stroke. Alene is so wonderful with the kids - you can tell she truly enjoys working with them and the kids love her back. Jack adores her and always looks forward to seeing her. Pool safety is her top priority and she works hard to make lessons fun for the kids while also teaching them water safety like diving into the pool, swimming to the wall and pulling themselves out of the pool. She is a true gem and we are so lucky to have such a fantastic swim coach here in Fallbrook!"
