"Banfield Clayton was horrific. My dog was on the precipice of ketosis, very ill, she was refusing food. The woman on the phone at Clayton insisted the dog was fine and I should just keep her dental appointment the following day she has to fast anyway. I understand our needs didn't fit her scheduling duties. I will never go back to that clinic. When I called the manager after a night in the pet hospital, he had nothing to say other than 'Oh'. This occurred April 19, 2023 at 831am."
"I have tried and tried again. Incompetence at its finest. I have been going to banfield for a few years. For some reason this location is the absolute worse. Every time I’m in a bind and have to schedule here I dread going. Not once in 20 or more times has it been simple or easy or correct. Forgetting medications I’ve bought, not doing stool samples when they said they would, and canceling my dogs neutering but never called us. We showed up at 7am and they swore they called, but then also said the doctor just called in sick. So how did you call us before 7am when the doctor just called in sick at 7:05. Lie and more lies. One doctor there told us our dog had a sever liver issue, made us freak out because he was only 2 at the time. Took them to a different Banfeild and she said he’s totally fine. Probably just got hit in the side while roughhousing with our other dog. And that was exactly it. Everything was totally fine after, we re got the labs checked. Dr. Kim seems to always have money grab options, making it seem worse than it is. They “did surgery” to get a fox tail out of one of our dog and they never got it. They said it was all out and his paw was still infected. My husband and I got everything out ourselves. Total waste of time going here. Lack of communication is beyond frustrating with them. Some people who work there are nice, and some people who work there are very dense. Hopefully you have time and patience when going to this location. We will finally be canceling everything after all the pets get their exams since we’ve paid for the monthly option for the past couple years. 4 pets on their “active care plan”, it’s a waste of money for the service you get here. I could go on and on with all the issues we’ve had here. 2 of the vets here were amazing but they moved on and left Banfeild."
"I brought my 11 week old kitten in recently because he'd been vomiting and not eating for 3 days. Dr. Sowkoor Shetty didn't seem at all interested; he didn't even touch my kitten once, and he barely acknowledged me. He was rude and dismissive. The first thing he told me was to "lay off the wet food for a little while", which indicated that he had no idea what the problem even was. I felt like I had to actually persuade him to run a blood test, because I was certain that there was more to it than just laying off wet food. After he ran the test, he told me that it appears my kitten does in fact have "some kind of infection", and prescribed him some antibiotics. I inquired how this would help if he can't keep anything down, and he just kind of... didn't answer me. A few hours later I took my kitten to VCA Encina Veterinary Medical Center, because I was pretty sure he was dying at this point. Turns out, he had a foreign object stuck between his intestines and his esophagus, and had to have emergency surgery. Had I not taken him to VCA Encina, he probably would have died. Banfield is great - my 13 year old cat has been in the network her whole life - but this particular doctor was awful. Do not schedule your appointments with him. P.s. this is at the Clayton location."
"Been going here for the last year. My pet is a regular customer. They could work on building customer loyalty, there is an overall lack of flexibility for recurring customers. It’s understabable for customers to be a little late for appointments from time to time, and I constantly have to go back and re-schedule because of it. Today I had a quick vaccine appointment setup, for which I was a bit late, I was asked to re-schedule, since it was 4PM and they probably wanted to go home. It is important to know that on their email confirmation there are no policies or warnings about being late. If I’m an established customer, I expect a little more flexibility when it comes to timing. If not, communicate the late arrival policy in advance."
