Reviews of Vetco Total Care Animal Hospital
"I recently visited Vetco, and I was thoroughly impressed by their exceptional service. The woman at the reception went above and beyond to assist me. Despite arriving slightly late for my appointment, she ensured I was seen promptly. She patiently explained Vetco’s core services, insurance affiliations, and available discounts, that demonstrates a commitment to customer care. I highly recommend Vetco to fellow pet owners. Their commitment to customer care truly stands out. Thank you, Vetco team, for making my visit a positive one!"
"Called me and asked me to come in earlier. I was at work and they said it was a possible emergency if I can come in with my Cat ASAP. I had to get approval to leave work early rush out through traffic pick up my cat get here and they tell me I have to wait two hours because the Vet went to lunch. Not only will I not get paid for leaving early. I could have just stayed at work and come in at the original time. Bad communication causing trouble for others. Updated: 4stars (original 1star) They took into account their mistakes and took ownership. They helped me out with some discount as compensations. I was very frustrated coming in but left feeling grateful for owning up and coming through for us."
"Love Vetco inside Petco! Everyone is great and if your join their program only $21 a month and they credit back $15 per month and vet visits are included at no extra cost. They will take great care of your fur baby!!"
"I don't know if they are just after money or they treat colored pet-parents differently, but the two times we went here for our cat's blood work, we have had horrible experiences, AND had no blood drawn. In addition, the technician complained both times that our cat scratched one of the helpers. We have never seen these helpers, they are probably always in the room where we are not allowed because of their "policy". So we do not know what happened exactly, what actually goes on in that room and I really have a hard time believing them because nothing they say seem logical to me. At first the technician said, cats wont cooperate if the cat parents are with them - like they would cooperate better if there were no familiar faces whatsoever with all kinds of strange hospital environment around? It feels like these people say anything and think that it will pass. Sometimes we don't want to be rude, so it has to pass. The first time we went here the technician said my cat scratched somebody and was temperamental so they could not draw the blood. Ok, one time ok. They sent us with a sedative for next appointment. We went there again after giving the cat the sedative. She had mellowed down a lot - but you know what adrenaline can do to animals..! She seemed wide awake at the hospital which was not the case last night when she got the first dose of the sedative and was at home -- in her safe environment and quickly fell asleep. So they took her in got just a little bit of blood from the jugular vein and that's it - they said she wouldn't stop moving etc etc and complained again that she scratched the helper. Mind you this is a 10 pound cat in a semi-sedated state. If you cannot handle a 10 pound cat in a semi-sedated state, are you even a vet technician? I am asking because my cat has been drawn blood from before, in front of my eyes. I know how she behaves. This technician also did not talk even word to my cat. Is that normal? Does it ensure a safe environment if the pets are not talked to from someone who is going to draw blood from her? Or is it not in their "policy" to talk nicely to pets to gain their trust? Is it also in their "policy" that pets (who are animals with strong un-suppressable primal instincts - they don't have our kind of reasoning capabilities) should behave well when you are coming at them with a needle? Not only all this happened, the vet technician attempted to draw the blood for the blood work, she came back to say that the cat needs to be immobilized and all that additional cost would make our bill twice the amount that she was charging us prior to taking the cat for the blood withdrawal. She took the time to print out these quotes. If you have read until here, thank you for reading, I do not want any animals to be taken for granted and mistreated in any way including making the pet travel so many times to a stressful hospital environment. It seems like they do not care about how the animal feels, or are they thinking that they do not feel anything, or is it in their "policy" to not think and care about the animals? Or do they want all our money for no service in return? This particular vetco clinic might be like this with a failure of technician services and others might be all great and good in which case there needs to be some kind of investigation that must be done to understand why these people treat our pets like this, could it be because they have an implicit racial bias? Or are they just extremely greedy without an ounce of care for an animal? Or are they paid really menially that they absolutely do not care for the animals that visit there? Extremely dissatisfied and frustrated with the way they behaved with us both times and the way they expect our pets to behave with them."
"We've had regular visit for vaccinations and checkups for out cats here and they are so great and super affordable. But recently we made the mistake of getting a puppy off of craigslist and within 24 hrs the poor thing was not doing great. I was so grateful to get an emergency visit within 30 min of my call. The staff was so beautiful with the little guy and got us set up to love him properly. 10 out of 10 recommend!"
